this is a brilliant story... you might work on changing your word choice a little from here on out. normally your puns and metaphors are quite creative, but it seems to me that if you hear a new way of saying something typical you're apt to cling to it and reject the old entirely, which winds up making the new much less appetizing... in this case I will admit I am making a direct referral to "as his parting shot" as a statement; it was an interesting weaving of words the first time, but you've used it several times and by now it is becoming rather redundant... As for the rest of the story, I say it's brilliant. :) Update soon!
