I wish that they could call the Muggle police or simply bring James safely to the wizarding world.

Great story! your original plot, the way you write, and your characterizations, drew me in instantly. Not many stories do that for me anymore but you have succeeded greatly! Cannot wait for more to come :D

They've got the proof that the Dursley's are abusing him. Why don't they bring it to the wizarding world and get Harry out of there???? From the last line, I'm wondering what Harry did to them?
Author's Response: Well, it would be difficult to involve the wizarding world, if the muggles have been gathering evidence against the Dursleys. So therefor snape called the ambulance. There's also the slight factor of him being shocked by James' appearance, and not having his wand downstairs. (plus it makes for a more interesting story, but hey, don't we all do things like that!)
