Malfoy scares me, but I also adore this creepy version of him. After all, he hasn't gone through all that yummy character development that happened in sixth and seventh year, and he is viciously, completely Slytherin in a way that destroys his spoiled-little-boy how-did-he-get-into-a-house-full-of-cunning-people image.

Hmm, I still feel sorry for Draco, he just doesn't realize what being a Death Eater will do to his pride. Harry though is going to be seriously messed up by this. Like Evan's a lot - he's going to be interesting to watch.

Scary Draco? Dear Author, scary is nowhere near a strong enough term for what that boy is! He's a terrifying, gut-wrenchingly horrific sociopath!

I do understand how the characters insist on taking over. And if I didn't say it in my previous review, I absolutely loved the "Chat in the Burrow".

    Bravo for another fanta-bulous chapter!

    Author's Response:

Yes.  Or actually a psychopath, because he does a good impression of socialized much of the time.

You made me laugh out loud at Harry doing the Hokey Pokey--even upon re-reading it. Twice! I loved the applause he got afterwards, too!

    Author's Response:

    Heh!  Thanks.  :)

Cool, I also can't wait to see this upcoming interaction. I find I can relate with trying to write a character one way, only to realize at the conclusion that they pretty much create themselves. Frustrating, that. But it's how the greatest writers get across, so it's nice. I really like this, I hope you keep writing it (if it's not already complete, that is)

    Author's Response:

Definitely complete, at least this arc.  Though I am considering a sequel.

Oh wow. I read fanfiction for hours every week, but not for a long time have I come across a better picture of a character's depth than in your Draco in Chapter 9. Seeing, really seeing, what makes a person function in ways that others would deem sick or wrong is probably the most tragic thing in the world. The crushing weight of the inevitable is always easier to bear when you don't see it coming. Harry's internal monologue is brilliant, as is your characterization of Draco. That, not the nauseating angst of more immature writing involving rape and displays of teenage idiocy, is what makes something poignant and tragic. The Greek tragedies got it right the first time: nothing is more frightening than fate. Bravo... excellent chapter! I'm going to have a lot of fun reading the rest of the fic if it keeps up to this lofty standard!

    Author's Response:

    Fulcanelli,

I've always seen Draco as a somewhat tragic character in Rowling's work.  You just know he's too immature and foolish to walk the talk of the DEs - which you also know will inevitably lead to his death.  He's been a doomed character in my mind ever since I realized he really was *serious* about joining his father... and that *is* fate.  Unless he were to change who he was, either dramatically for the better, or dramatically for the worse, he has a messy end awaiting him.

Thank you so much for your review.    I can only hope you enjoy the rest of the story as well.  :)

Hey! just want to let you know that I'm really enjoying the story so far... yup, I know it's finished, but I wanted to let you know how good of a job you've done! =D

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I'm glad you're enjoying it so far.  :)

lol... Poor Malfoy. Actually, I do like Malfoy,or otherwise known as Draco in my books. :) This is agreat punishment and I like the idea of Harry casting an Unforgiveable (maybe because I like Dark!Harry, as well). I surprised Hermione and Ron (especially Hermione) haven't figured out that Harry is one of those Slytherins in Gryffindor.

Well, I can't wait to see where you take Harry and Draco next! Update soon!

    Author's Response:

I think that Ron and Hermione would believe that if Harry were, he would have told them.  The three of them are pretty close.

Don't worry, I like Draco, too.  I just also dislike him.  ;)
