Snape's extremely grudging, self-disgusted respect for Harry is my favorite thing. I keep giggling every time Harry says something smart and Snape looks queasy.

Author's Response: I know this is an ancient review, but I could not help but respond!  Grudging, self-disgusted respect indeed!

Thanks for putting your list up - I'll check it out. Always good to find good fic. I found your under a review by Mudblood - great stories but unfortunately unfinished.

Good chapter, still waiting to see where Snape is going.

Harry's thesis has been researched by Snape, I'll bet. Maybe this was Snape's own thesis when he was at Hogwarts as a student. Or perhaps it was his master's thesis. If I'm right... what could Snape be thinking? That he has seriously underestimated Harry would be rather obvious. What else could he be thinking?

Oh, goody, you gave us CLUES! Now I'll just have to wait and see how the stuff in this chapter works with the future chapters so I can try to figure out what you are doing.

Rae is such a darling girl and I think it did Harry a lot of good to be able to be a "big brother" to her. I really liked it that he passed on Professor Snape's advice about letting her emotions out (now if he will only take that advice himself!). And the additional advice not to cry alone was good, too.

I like Yolande. She seems like a very intelligent and level-headed girl. I especially liked her promise to make sure that Harry gets his cloak back from Draco.

Speaking of Draco, I am wondering where he is. I have a feling that his Head of House will be having some words with him for missing class.

    Great job (as usual)! Bravo!

    Author's Response:

Yay!  More comments on the OCs!  Thank you.  :)

well at this point in the story i am guessing Harry is somehow reading Snape's mind subconsiously... he seems to keep having potions knowledge from no where

v interesting -going to read on now

Draco never ceases to make me wonder. Just what have his roommates been up to exactly? Lol. They're up to something, certainly.

As Harry was gathering his things to head to Charms, Snape looked up at him with an odd expression. “I wonder, Potter, if you’ve ever found out what would happen if you added asphodel to an infusion of wormwood.”

Harry couldn’t help it – he laughed, startled into amusement. “You said it was an antidote for most poisons – I haven’t forgotten, or anything.”

    ...

It was Draught of the Living Death, not an antidote to most poisons, that was the bezoar, surely?

Author's Response: Why yes, of course, and you're not the first... fifth... or tenth... person to mention it.  When that many people catch a mistake, it's probably time to go back and re-load the chapter.... *sigh*

Wait, you said in this chapter that adding asphodel to an infusion of wormwood would get an antidote to most poisons, but the book says that it makes the Draught of Living Death. The bezoar is the antidote for the poisons. You need to correct that.

    Author's Response:

Darn!  I thought I'd caught that.  Thanks for reminding me; I'll see if I can't fix it.  ;)

If you hadn't dropped the *hint* that what was happening here will eventually be significant, I'd have guessed it as well.  I bet you have Draco off doing something with that invisibility cloak.  I realized, like Harry, that there was no future for them when he saw the fanaticism in Draco's eyes.  I was almost rooting for Harry to use imperious and make him loose it.  But the adults all have him so twisted with guilt that I knew it would never have happened.  And what does "Daddy Dear" think about Draco suddenly acquiring an invisibility cloak????  Is that why he's not there?  Yolanda has the hots for Herm????  And where is your insightful Ron in this story???  Why IS Harry turning into such a potions ace???  Isn't it time for the week of slaveship to be over?  Inquiring minds want to know!!!!  Thanks for the references on new stories and the quick updates!!!  I'll probably have less time to read though, I'm starting a new part time job nights and weekends---at a bookstore!!!!

    Author's Response:

Oooh, a bookstore job... I know where your paycheck is going!  (Or at least, where mine would...)

Insightful Ron just pops his head up once in awhile.  You'll see him again.  :)
