Okay, so being a Yank, to our ears the word "bloody" doesn't mean anything; it holds none of the weighty, obscene connotations it does for the members of the UK.
That having been said, I must tell you that "twat"--here in the US--is the most horribly OBSCENE word for female privates that I know. As a woman, it has always given me a horrid shudder to hear it.
To hear Ginny use it, and now Draco, is the same to American ears, as if they had addressed the person as a "cunt" instead--only uglier. Is that the effect you're after?

    Author's Response:

OMG, that should be TWIT.  That's a genuinely unfortunate typo...

You made me laugh out loud at Harry doing the Hokey Pokey--even upon re-reading it. Twice! I loved the applause he got afterwards, too!

    Author's Response:

    Heh!  Thanks.  :)

Ron is truly Gryffindor here, in how he confronts Harry. Your dream for Harry is very insightful. Excellent chapter.

Interesting! I'd personally never been one to think of any of the Dursleys as being magical. But you're actually making it seem plausible.

Excellent story! That's going onto my favourite list straight away. I liked the way that the ending really takes you by surprise, the way it isn't all happily perfect in that you see that they all still have their flaws. I liked the fact that unlike the majority of fics I read, I honestly had no idea where it was going. The only thing that I wonder about is that you never tied up the thing about Snape having thought of a way of getting Sirius back from behind the veil. Or was that just Snape being mean to Lupin.

In any case, a truly superb story.

    Author's Response:

Definitely not just Snape being mean, LOL... there is a sequel in the works, one that deals with what happens to Sirius.  Whether it will ever see the light of day or not is, unfortunately, another question.

I'm glad you enjoyed the ending of SoS, and I hope you'll join me as I post future fics!

Yay! Coming to the end after fifty -two chapters, phew bit of a marathon read there, but well worth it. This story is brill! thanks for posting it, arhhhh it all turned out well in the end. Draco's like Harry's brother in a way, their so close. Perhaps Draco understands Harry better than anybody else. One thing that bothers me a bit, is after Harry got his memories back after the summer there wasn't much mention of what really happened to the two, their relationship changed and they remembered that it changed, so wouldn't they become closer in the present as well? I wonder if Snap will ever give Harry that picture. I digress, its still a marvelous achievement, bravo!!!
    Cecilia

    Author's Response:

Heh - Draco and Harry did not interact over the summer.  Just Harry and Snape.  Thanks for all your reviews, and I'm glad you enjoyed it.  :)

I'm pretty sure but nobody would be at Hogwarts during the summer months, i.e. AUGUST. Nearly every school in the uk is on summer holiday's during August till the very beginning of september, so its quite implausible for them to be going there for the weekend. Plus its quite a long way to travel, five hundred miles plus by floo??? and for the weekend? Not sure that Dumbles would be mad enough to let 15-17 to go off by themselves in the middle of London, yes its Diagon Alley and its separated from London proper but still! And(sorry about all the 'ands') there is no way in hell that anybody of the staff would let Harry go off with his friends unsupervised into the wizarding world hubbub with potential Deatheaters everywhere.
But apart from these points i liked it, the awkwardness between Harry and Draco is brilliant and some of the one liners from Snape and Draco are fab. Good Job.
