As Harry was gathering his things to head to Charms, Snape looked up at him with an odd expression. “I wonder, Potter, if you’ve ever found out what would happen if you added asphodel to an infusion of wormwood.”

Harry couldn’t help it – he laughed, startled into amusement. “You said it was an antidote for most poisons – I haven’t forgotten, or anything.”

    ...

It was Draught of the Living Death, not an antidote to most poisons, that was the bezoar, surely?

Author's Response: Why yes, of course, and you're not the first... fifth... or tenth... person to mention it.  When that many people catch a mistake, it's probably time to go back and re-load the chapter.... *sigh*

Hey! just want to let you know that I'm really enjoying the story so far... yup, I know it's finished, but I wanted to let you know how good of a job you've done! =D

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much!  I'm glad you're enjoying it so far.  :)

This review will be short, since I'm not really at ease with the english language, but I had to tell you that I really enjoyed your story (as you could have guessed : why would I ming reading a so long story in a language with which I need a dictionnary if I didn't find it really interesting? ^^) What put me a little off at the beginning was that Snape wasn't as mean as he could/should be towards Harry... nevertheless, and the plausible explanation only came in the last part, when the missing memories are described. So, that's not such a big inconvenient. What I liked the most is your characterization of the different characters - I usually avoid the OOC, but in this fic that was well done and interesting. And I simply loved all these little bits of dialogues that were simply so funny that they unexpectedly made me lough. I was particularly impressed by your Draco. And I think I liked the fact he was the one to kill Voldemort, even if that conclusion didn't seem to correspond to the whole prophecy. So... I'm glad you're planning to write a sequel, and I look forward to it! Oh, and for your recommandations in the author's notes, thank you a lot, I personnally always prefer following advice from people who write well rather than losing time searching randomly, so I find it really useful. (I hope you managed to understand the global meaning... I thought you deserved a review, but i doubt I was able to meet your expectations, sorry about that. ^^°)

    Author's Response:

    Katachi,

your English is really very good!  Far better than a lot of those who speak English as their first language.  I am honored that you read the story despite needing a dictionary - that's a truly high compliment.

FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T READ THE STORY YET, SPOILERS FOLLOW!  I thought that, overall, the prophesy was answered.  The prophesy still refers directly to Harry, and the power that Voldemort Knew Not was, as Dumbledore always suspected, love.  It was Harry's ability to find the good in others and his ability to show affection that saved his life and lost Voldemort's, no matter who held the wand in the end.

I'm glad you liked the recs!  I'm also glad you reviewed, it definitely did meet my expectations.  ;)

I loved all the recs you gave. I simply love to read fanfics. LOVE.

I really liked the remus hitting severus scene it was perhaps my favorite. The whole story was good( I stayed up from about 7 in the evening until 10 the next morning cause I couldn't stop reading it.) =D haha. And I have another fic to rec to you, your last rec in your author's notes reminded me of it. Here is the link. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2490727/1/

It is called Tea and Sympathy By Jocemum.

It's written after the sixith book, and is focuses a trust between Dumbledore's Portrait, Hermione, and Severus. I can't really say much more because I am horrible at describing things with out ruining it. -__-''

    Author's Response:

Thanks, Cassie!  That's one of my favorite scenes of all time in the story, too.  (I'm allowed to have my own favorites, right?)

I am always impressed by those who read the story like marathon runners.  *splashes water at Cassie as she runs past*  Go! go!  ;)

I have read Tea and Sympathy; it's in my Favorites on ff-dot-net, which I highly recommend you check out.  Find my C2 as well; that's where the best of the best are.  My Favorites section is that which just didn't quite make it to my C2 but is still interesting or well done.

I'm so glad you liked SoS, and I hope you'll join me as I post future fics!

There is this one fanfic I read...twice...the only fanfic I read twice. It saddly has the rather typical parings in it, but they aren't really in the limelight...you might like it...anyway it was really good, actually if you do read it and no of any other fics like it, I would love to know because my searches for me like that have been dismal to say the least. Any way here is the link, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it if you read it. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2078709/1/. Im really enjoying your fic so far. I like all the character developement and mysteries, I also like that there is no real parings just hints for the imagination to run wild with..subtle hints :)

    Author's Response:

I dont' think I've read that one Cassie; I'll check it out.  It's always good to catch up with the slightly older fics; you're less likely to see them in C2s which means I'm less likely to find them.  I'll let you know what I think, and I'm glad you're liking SoS so far.  :)

Wonderful way to save Snape!!! I still can't believe that Vodly's dead. But if you say so, then O.K. Shouldn't people be celebrating Draco's accomplishment more? Harry did just about the bravest thing imaginable, and made it possible for Draco to do what he did, so they are both hero's. Snape's even happy?!!! What more can you want in life?

    Author's Response:

Hey, nothing more!  Snape gets to try out life as a (sort-of) regular wizard!  I sort of *wanted* to make Voldemort's death an anticlimax; after all, this story had more or less nothing to do with him.  Yes, I think that Draco and Harry are both heroes here!  But Draco also handed Snape over to the Death Eaters to be tortured and then killed.  These two acts sort of cancel one another out in Snape's books, but I would be wary of him if I were Snape...

Thanks for sticking with this story.  Last bit soon!

Wait, you said in this chapter that adding asphodel to an infusion of wormwood would get an antidote to most poisons, but the book says that it makes the Draught of Living Death. The bezoar is the antidote for the poisons. You need to correct that.

    Author's Response:

Darn!  I thought I'd caught that.  Thanks for reminding me; I'll see if I can't fix it.  ;)

Enjoyed the story very much, couldn't wait went to fanfiction.net to read the end. Great story, loved the twists and turns

    Author's Response:

Darn!  I probably never should have mentioned that whole fanfiction-dot-net thing, should I?  Ah, well, se la vie (sp?).  I'm glad you enjoyed the story and hope you will vote for it to be Featured!  If you have a story here, that is.  :)

What a cliffy! That's nasty of you! I trust you will write soon? You had better! Or I would Voldermort's wand at you in that fic of yours....
Hmmmm that little prank you told about... it really was a good way to advertise that one fic, lol. Well, it worked! I've got to check out it... How come that particular prank gets some a long time ago read fic to my mind... I'll see then.

    Author's Response:

Don't worry, Anonymous person! There will be more v. soon.

The Prank War is a great fic, one I highly recommend (obviously)! The fact that the pranks escalate from the one I mentioned is hard to believe, but true.

I hope you'll join me for the next installment; thanks for reading and reviewing. :)

    Author's Response:

Wait a minute. There already IS more! Keep going!
