If Draco wasn't starting to like Potter before, I'd say that after he protected him from his father, Harry may have a friend for life in Draco!

I understand wanting to develop the relationship between Harry and Draco and this scene will certainly help that along. But I don't quite see how you can imply that Ron and Hermione haven't been there for Harry the last two years. Hermione helped him through the entire Tri-Wizard Tournament and Ron and Hermione stood by Harry through all of his horrible moods in OotP and went with him to the MOM. Harry was going even if no one else did--and he would have died without his friends.

This is a really good story. The only thing I was wondering is if you are going to have more about the interactions when Harry needs treatment. The comments Draco makes about what he can do to "help" are pretty amusing and it would be nice to see some of that. You have a great story going either way, I just like to see more of the detail on the medical/emotional aspects. Not that you have to please me of course! I was just wondering. :)

Amazing chapter! I really liked the fact that Harry jumped in front of Draco. Also, I really like the fact that they a getting a better understanding of Harry, how he holds more value over other people's lives even over his own. I can't wait for an update, and I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. Awesome job!
