-why exactly did the song influence Harry that much? -Why did Snape reacted so...good when Harry entered the room where Snape was singing? I mean, why didn't Snape shout at him or take points or give him detention? -why Harry and Snape started to have meals together - you didn't explain properly And the last: -Why did Snape call Harry "son" in the end? From Your story I thought that they only had good relations, but not the father-son like! But still, it's good.
I sometimes come across stories that I would love to elaborate on. The idea of the story is sound and the potential great, but the story seems to me just the idea alone. This does not mean I do not like the story, but I think there is potential for so much more. What I did like were the songs. I do not know the second, but I remember the first one from church when we were younger and actually sang it, while reading. If you ever elaborate or do anything else with this story, I woulc be interested in finding out.

You're right, sometimes the sense of peace and calm you get from Christmas carols can drive away the stresses so prevelant this time of year, so I can see how they would also comfort Harry when he is feeling so terribly low - I'm glad Severus could offer him both comfort and guidance, as I see Harry as being someone in severe need of both!! Author's Response: Thank you for the review, your response to the story was precicely what I was aiming for with the carol. Also, the second song was another religious song, so I was also wanting to convey a sense that the power of God (or whatever being is out there) is a power for Good, and that when Voldemort was encased in the white power, he was being forgiven for his multiple sins, sort of like he was being baptized.
