It was insightful of McGonagall to get Severus to admit to Harry that he too was abused. Severus might not have wanted to share the information, but it did help Harry to open up a little, and it can be a starting point for some empathy between the two of them.

I read that and was totally like WHOA SNAPE'S A CAMELEON! But it's still my favourite line if not for teh amusing imagery but also because Snapey is the only one paying attention to Harry. Which is so totally the first step towards SNAPE/HARRY LUFF XD

Hmm...nice chapter and I liked the last chapter, too. I was wondering in the last chapter whether Harry was in his First year or not and looks like I got my answer. Anyways, I liked both the chapters and now I am going to read the further chapters.
