I like how Harry thought Hermione was going to take the healing balm away. Harry never has gotten anything from anyone, so it's understandable -- especially now, what with being attacked and all -- that he got possessive over the "gift". ^^

“Professor Snape had personal errands he needed to take care of.”

Yeah - like indimidating certain Muggle families XD

I like Harry's possessiveness over the jar - very cute, how he's all like, dude, a present! when really it's just a common curtesy XD

HARRY YOU ARE TEH AWESOMENESS. Here, have some chocolate XD

Author's Response: Harry IS the awesomeness, even if he gets confused about what’s a present and what’s not.  It’s not his fault.  And um yeah, personal errands…he wasn’t visiting anyone…he was buying new robes….really!

I appreciate your efforts to give your readers the best reading experience by correcting errors.

Even though I have read a ton of stories like this, I have enjoyed your beginning very much. It is flowing nicely, you have already had some interesting interactions between characters, and I fully expect to enjoy this story. You did a great job on the ending of this chapter. Snape is nicely snarky, while still being kind.

Author's Response: Thanks, I'm really glad you're enjoying it, despite the fact that it's not the most original premise ever.  Hopefully you continue to like it!

Wow!! This is a terrific beginning, and I'm so looking forward to more of this story!!
Your Snape is still snarky, but you can see the caring in him - and I absolutely LOVE that Harry went to the trouble of writing him a Thank-You, when most people wouldn't have even bothered!!
Dare I hope that Snape's errands include laying a smack-down on Vernon? *LOL*
Thank you for sharing this story with us!!

    Scarlett

Author's Response: Hi, I'm really glad you're liking it so far, and thanks for the review.  I thought the Thank You note was a nice touch on Harry's part.  As for Snape's errands, well what he was off doing remains to be seen.
