Reviews For Reading the Signs
Author's Response: Nope, it means something else entirely. I don't say what it means until much later in the story.
*Goes back and reads chapter* Oh yeah, now I remember! Great chapter! Sevy's in 'Daddy mode' ^-^ Severus: "I DO NOT have a 'Daddy Mode'!" Me: "Yes you do. Look, right there!" Severus: *Growls* "Foolish fan girls!" *grumbles* Me: "Tee hee. He likes it really." ^v^ Oh! Will Harry make friends with the attacker that appologised? I kinda hope so. It would be big of him to do so AND it would nark Sevy off :p Lol XxX Author's Response: Hmm, like you, I could have sworn I responded to this...oh well.
I'm not sure Snape would like the idea of having a "Daddy mode" but *I* totally agree with you :)
There is really something very special there! Thanks a lot ! Author's Response: Wow, I'm really flattered. Thank you for such high praise. I'm very glad you like it, and responses like this make all the writing worth while!
Author's Response: Aw, he tries. It's just that he's not always thinking of the children who need it most.
Not sure if I've reviewed this yet, but I have been following it. It's a wonderful story. Simply lovely. I'm really interested to know what Harry's sign for Snape means. I had just assumed that it was some combination of S and teacher, but now it seems it has some significance. I like how you've kept Snape in character even as he does things that are out of character. Some of the parts where he struggles with himself over his affection for Harry are both funny and beautiful. Great job on this chapter. I think my favorite part is when Harry signs "home" and his sign for Snape, and Snape picks him up. I seriously got a little choked up. It was so lovely. Also, I loved when Snape swore and Ron and Hermione acted so shocked. It made me laugh. I hope you update soon! Matilda Author's Response: Thank you so much for reviewing :) Harry's sign for Snape definitely has some significance. I think Snape knows that too, that's why he didn't take Hermione's bait to find out what it is. I think it's too soon for both of them.
Your favourite part is my favourite part too, so I'm glad it was effective!
I'm a sucker for Snape picking up Harry and holding him. It's so incredibly sweet. You've been on quite an updating kick lately, and I LOVE it. Thanks so much for the latest installment of this story. :) Author's Response: I'm actually not trying to vilify Dumbledore, rather just to show that he's flawed. But I understand what you mean :) And yeah, I've been updating more lately because I've finally hit the pieces I wrote months ago. I have not written this story in a linear manner AT ALL, lol.
Author's Response: Aw, I'm so glad that you liked it enough to re-read. Thank you!
Author's Response: Heh, I'm not sure Harry would agree with you. Glad you like it :)
BTW, what the heck was Dumbledore thinking? That man and his nefarious plans! Only he would think that it was a good idea to have a child face his attackers. He must be smarter than that, right? Maybe he was just wanting to see how Harry would handle himself in that situation, to see if he would have the courage to stand up for himself. Anyway, great chapter, as usual. Have a great week and update soon, please. Author's Response: See, in my mind Dumbledore didn't so much want Harry to face his attackers, but the attackers to face their victim. He just didn't see how one equaled the other, and that it was bound to be a less than positive experience for Harry. He thought the three would apologize, Harry would accept and the lemon drops all around! Of course it didn't work that way.
*I* on the other hand, definitely put Harry in that situation to see if he would stand up for himself. And while there wasn't much he could do spell-wise, at least the kept eye contact like the good Gryffindoe his is, lol.
