Reviews For Reading the Signs
and Dumbldore being put in his place loved it
Thanks for the chapter. On to the next. Author's Response: He's definitely had a paradigm shift, although he seems to need it to happen a few times before he really starts to get it. And yeah, it was a bit of a sad one... Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: See, you totally picked up on my "thing" about Harry. I always felt, at least in the early books, that he was a bit too "old". I like being able to let him be a child. But I think in order for him to let go enough to do that he needs a strong adult in his life to take on a caregiver role.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. It's always a thrill when your writing evokes such emotions in others. The next chapter is up now :)
Author's Response: To give Dumbledore a little credit, I think he gets the *other* children, but he expects something more - something too much - from Harry. I think he does recognize this, which is why he acquieses to Severus' unspoken demand to be consulted on all future decisions regarding Harry.
But yeah, he can be incredibly thick sometimes. At least in my story, lol.
Author's Response: Oh, that's a wonderful compliment! Thank you! And the next chapter is up now :)
Author's Response: Until it was cauterized. That's an excellent way of putting it, thank you. As for Dumbledore, you're pretty spot-on. He recognizes - particularly after the Dursley's abuse is revealed - that his choices can be flawed, and that Harry needs as many people in his corner as he can get. And yes, if that means they have to protect him from Dumbledore as well, that's a risk that must be taken. Thanks for the wonderful review!
Author's Response: Heh, fair enough. Technically by my timeline (the one in my head) it's been two months. But fear not, the people around Harry are about to ask that same question. Probably in the next chapter.
I loved these lines: And with that he stalked over to the boy to drive his message home. Dropping to his knees and gripping Harry's shoulders he stated slowly and clearly, "I do not want you to end up like me!" Two more tears dropped heavily down the boy's cheeks, now flushed red with emotion, and he sucked them in through his lips as if he could hide them. I'm glad you included this chapter. The loose ends can wait. lol. Great job :) Author's Response: Aw, thanks I'm glad you like it :) That bit was one of my favourites too. |
