Reviews For Reading the Signs
Author's Response: The issue of Harry not speaking will begin to resolve itself in the next chapter and finally come to a head in Chapter 23. If all goes as planned.
Author's Response: Heh, me too. That's why I write it :) Thanks for the review!
I love how this story has progressed. I also appreciate the fact that you write Harry as an eleven year old who needs comfort and reassurance. He's young, and sometimes, I think we forget how normal it is for eleven year olds to be extremely upset one moment and happy and bouncy the next. In that aspect, you write Harry very accurately. Also, you seem to really have a good grasp on Ron's character, which, I think, is difficult to do (Speaking from experience...lol). Bottom line: your Harry is the sweetest thing ever, and I adore this story :) Write soon! Author's Response: Thank you so much :) I definitely take soothing as a compliment! As for how I write Harry, although it was many, many years ago now, I remember being his age and having the same issues he's having, so that helps. Plus I have an 11 year old niece and nephew who I tend to watch closely, to see how they act, the things they say, etc. As for Ron, I have struggled to keep him in-character but still likeable. Based on canon, Ron definitely would struggle with the relationship I've built between Snape and Harry. But he's also Harry's best friend for a reason, and I think he'd be able to understand eventually (with a little help from Arthur!). Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Heh, yeah I tend to save the kickers for the last line. Always leave people wanting more, right? We'll get to see Severus' reaction in the next chapter. Thanks for your kind review!
I was missing your story updates so was happy to get to read one today. It was good assignment for Harry - try to analyze why he'd been so extreme in his emotional responses to things. I don't think Severus was ready for that parchment, though. Whatever will he do with this information? It was a lovely, tearjerker of a chapter. Author's Response: I seem to be making everyone cry, lol. Thanks for your patience in waiting for an update. I was missing my story too ;) As for Severus, we'll cover his reaction in Chapter 22.
Author's Response: Thank you! The next chapter should be up by the end of the weekend :)
Author's Response: I'm glad it made you go aww, I was worried it might be a wee bit too much. But then again, it was destined to be in there, as that scene with Snape finding the drawing was one of the very early scenes I wrote (almost a year ago now!)
I hope you had a great Christmas and New Years! Author's Response: I had wonderful holidays, thank you! Heh, I seem to always make people cry, and often when I'm totally not meaning or trying to. Interesting. Next update should be very soon. This weekend for sure. It's been written FOREVER, heh. Thanks so much for your review :)
Author's Response: Yeah, I thought that was a good place to cut the action. The next chapter has been written for months and months. So it'll be up within a day or too! Thanks for reviewing! |
