I simply don't know what to say. I've literally used every bit of my spare time over the past several days (including breaks at work) to read this. It's been hailed as a masterpiece by others and I can only agree, though I'd say that's an understatement. This fic made me luagh out loud and truly, truly touched my heart. I'm so so so glad there's a sequel!
Thank you so much for a very enjoyable weeks reading. This has been my holiday 'book' and I loved every minute. The inclusion of psychology and the focus on the impact of trauma was very well done and not overdone either. One of my biggest frustrations with DH was that is ended so abrubtly with no focus on the recovery after such a traumatic event. I also really liked your portrayal of Draco and Harry. Draco is a very well rounded character and not 'reformed' overnight and I was very touched by Harry's vulreability in this. You have inspired me to get going with my own stories again. I look forward to reading the next part of this tale. Kendra.

I believe I might be a bit late to the party, but upon finishing this thrilling tale, I feel I must pay you my compliments. I have spent the last moth reading your dashing story--staying up late into the night in order to finish a chapter, biting my tongue to keep from laughing or shouting out in dismay, outrage or fright and waking up my parents--and I must say, I am happy to have read every word. Now, I think I shall take a break from reading, but I would like to say that I will begin A Summer Like No Other as soon as possible, with high expectations; expectations I'm sure you will fulfill. I sincerely hope you will continue writing in the future. You have quite a talent. Thank you for writing this and sharing it with all of us...thank you for this story like none other.
Long before I even had much interest in this fandom, I was told - in no uncertain terms, I might add - that I *had* to read this fic. Now, do I see why.
Brilliantly done, with events and situations that were plausible, characters that were not only believable, but in-character, all cleverly woven together in a manner that was wholly satisfactory and thoroughly entertaining, I find myself wishing I had read this fic long before now.
Or, in more concise terms:
OMG! I LOVE THIS!!!!
And now off to the next one...
You do realize it took me 5 days to finish this wonderfully written story? Normally, it would only take me 3 days (about 30 chapters a day) to finish this. But this had so many plot twists and turns, that I am kind of disappointed that the second in this series isn't this long. Oh well... As Sev says, we can't have everything we want.
Anyway, for constructive criticism... I don't have much to say. My mum and I poured over this story. I think that you have a talent for writing. Go with it! I wanna read some of your books later on!

PS. Just remember, the many of us who have read AYLNO are your first and best fans.
I've just spent the last couple of weeks reading this fic at every opportunity I could either grab or create. It was absolutely rivetting! I've really enjoyed it, and commend you both on your fantastic efforts. Now I'm off to read the sequel! Cheers.
Author's Response: Thank you!! When you finish Summer, keep in mind that there is a third novel, A Family Like None Other, posted at skyehawke archives. Aspen
This was just FANTASTIC! And I think you made Harry see reason at precisely the right instant. Any more would have been overkill. Your sense of timing is excellent. I'm off to read about Summer now!!!
