I liked how in the first scene, Snape goes to fetch Harry for tea and they have a long conversation about Quidditch. It's nice to see them discuss fun things, and I like how not every moment of this story is about Harry's destiny or angst. Also, I'm glad that Snape makes spending time with Harry, outside of class and training, a priority.
I felt as annoyed as Harry did when McGonagall and Moretta stopped by and began discussing him. They did kind of treat him like a naughty little kid, and I don't think Snape realizes how frustrating that would be to a sixteen-year-old. I think he needs to trust Harry and be a bit more open with him.
I really wonder what McGonagall, Moretta, and Snape discussed after Harry left. My guess is that either Snape or Harry is going to be facing danger soon, perhaps as early as New Year's Eve?
Admittedly, I was worried that Snape's expectations for Harry's marks would be far too high, and that it might cause a rift between the two. But his reaction was perfect. I'm so glad that he made it clear to Harry to just do his best and that Snape would be proud of him. As Snape suggested, maybe Harry should come to him for help with Potions during the next term.
It seems like Harry's decision to sneak off is completely influenced by whatever his feelings toward Snape happen to be at the moment. Whenever Snape treats him like an adult, he's inclined to behave and act like one. Whenever Snape treats him like an untrustworthy child, Harry wants to act like one just to get back at him. As I said before, I believe Snape needs to keep him more informed and trust him with serious information. But Harry also needs to act his age and not disobey Snape. Hopefully he'll make the right call this time.
It's very nice of Snape to take not only Harry but also Draco to Diagon Alley (see, Harry, he's not completely horrible ;)). I absolutely cannot wait to see if he meets Luna, and if he does, whether Snape catches him or not. That could be really embarrassing if he catches Harry with the girl he likes.

Glad you're back. Snape is acting wierd and why was McGonagall upset when she left. I hope harry does go to diagon alley at New Years, but it will be interesting to see what happens. Can't wait for next chapter.

Thanks for updating and continuing to write this story. This perked me up amidst my packing for going back to school. Please don't be so long to update in the future. Oh gosh I sound whiny but I don't mean it that way I promise. Keep up the good work!
