ooo, I love it! Especially the poetry aspect! I hope you continue :)
Oops. I think I called Snape a literary teacher in my first review -- sorry. It's one in the morning right now, and I was about to wander to bed when I stumbled upon this. I meant to say Literature.
I really do like the idea of this story. I'm very excited to see what'll come - I think it would be nice to see a little more substance though, more thoughts and details. All the dialogue is good, but I think the other would compliment it nicely as well.
Can't wait to read more!
This is very interesting so far. A little rushed, but an interesting concept. I like the idea of poetry playing an intricate roll as the story pans out. I also like the AU aspect - how Snape is a literary teacher... AH. I just got the connection. Lit teacher, poetry... :D
Very interesting and original! I look forward to more. ^-^
I like this. As a lit student, I recognized the poem immediately, and I could so see my professors as Snape - "DO NOT plaguerize!" I look forward to reading the next chapter.
Starting the chapter where you did, in media res, of in the middle of things for all you non-Latin scholars, I thought was an interesting style of writing. Most writers would have shown the suicide attempt, milking it for all its angst and despair, but it happens off-screen, so to speak. So I'll just keep reading.
Rock on!
