Oh goodness. I am in awe of this fic (and the first one). The 2nd to last chapter had me literally in tears, while I was at work! Superb writing. I cannot find the right words to describe it. Snape, my most favorite character EVER- was entirely in character from beginning to end. Perfection. Exactly as I envision him. The plot was wonderful, no holes to be found. Wonderful ending, just perfect. Normally, I am not opposed to a sad angsty end, but for this particular fic, I was praying for a much happier ending. "I'm here."- Uggh, just perfect! I just can't say enough, but really I am entirely speechless. NO DOUBT, one of the 5 best fanfics I've ever read. PLEASE, Please, please write more. You are utterly brilliant.
Author's Response: Thank you for the incredible review. Snape is my favorite character as well and my main goal in writing these stories was to keep him entirely in character while allowing him to grow beyond the past that has ruled him for so many years. Very few fanfics do this and I'm happy to know that you think I've managed it.

hot damn. This is the story JKR -should- have written! Rich and satisfying, with characters completely IC, and also completely logical in building on canon. An incredible story!!

Wow. I dont even know what to say. Its taken me a few weeks to finish the story, and I am just completely in awe. So well thought out and planned, plot twists are planted and then don't have an affection until a dozen chapters later! And your last little history bit really is exactly the way I could imagine Harry spending his life. You've completed a truly excellent piece of work. I love the way you changed Snape but stuck to canon in the sense that you didn't make him suddenly morph into this cuddly teddy bear who wants to adopt Harry. Also, the idea of the insides of everyones minds was just pure genius! I would think woww I didnt imagine it would be like that but gee- it fits him perfectly! So well done. I could gush for a lot longer, but most of all you just have my complete respect for a job well done. This is exactly the standard to which fanfiction should be held. Congratulations on its completion!
Author's Response: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. It's very gratifying when a reader appreciates details such as the management of plot twists. That does take planning. I'm glad that you liked all of the forays into people's minds. I loved writing all of those and they proved to be a great way to explore the characters personalities.

OMG! This is sooo much better than book seven it's disgusting! I loved it! Holy crap!!!!! I could on and on but thank you Theowyn for putting so much effort into this this (betas too, if you had any). It was an honor to read it and I wish JKR was half as talented to finish the series like this. OMG! I have read so much fanfiction that I'd thought I'd hit all of the classics, but this is on another level above even those. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I hope you pursue writing professionally and create your own little world for everyone to delve into (and send me a note so I can look it up please!). The relationship between Severus and Harry was extraordinary. And, I actually like Dumbledore, though I hated him in JKR's books. You really gave Severus a full chance at redemption, and that says so much about you. You're probably this first fanfic author that I want to meet. Congrats or a job well done and I will be studying you story like a hawk to help improve my own writing and character development. XOXO

I love love love love love love love love love this fanfic!!!!!! No, really!!! it's wonderful! it's got just the right amount of suspense, angst, humour, friendship, everything that makes a story great, a great plot-line AND it's really well written!!! What more could anyone want??
This has to be one of the best fics I have ever read - no, scratch that, one of the best stories I have ever read, full stop. Thank you so so much for writing this, I've loved it ever so much!!! And if you ever wrote a real book and got it published, I would buy ten copies, read them, then give them to all my friends!

I LOVED, LOVE, AND WILL CONTINUE TO LOVE THIS STORY!!!! Forever. I mean it. This, I SWEAR to it, is one, if not THE best Harry Potter and Severus Snape fan-fiction story I have ever read. There was so much emotion, mistery, action, adventure, angst, and humor in this one story. I laughed, cried, and whooped in victory that the ending was how I was wishing it to be. Perfect, you made Snape and Lupin friends, saved almost all, but the most important to me, characters I was praying Rowling to keep in the last book. I don't plan on reading the last two books until the sixth movie comes to theaters, so if ANYONE dies PLEASE don't tell me. It would kill me if you did, so please don't tell me. Thanks. I love this storey, you are an amazing author, if Rowling kills anyone I love, I will complain that YOU should have re-written the last books. I mean it, this is realy amazing work! Now I just need to see if you wrote any other stories and read them if so. AMAZING WORK! Keep it up.

YES! I WAS RIGHT, KNIGHT IS THE MUDERER! I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! It's such a great fealing when you keep on deperatly wanting you're opinion of a character you love (Snape)to be proven correct and the character you suspect for the real criminal (Knight) to be proven correct (chapter 24) ! *does victory dance* cool, keep it up. I'm going to finnish reading this story tomorrow, since it's 1:30 a.m. I am so loving this story!

I read this fic and the previous installment just before Deathly Hallows was released, but I only just got an account here (especially so that I can review all these wonderful fics). I must say I'm beyond grateful that wonderful authors such as yourself have taken the time and effort to write something so beautiful for us readers to enjoy. Truly, words fail to describe how much I loved reading every moment of this wonderful series; to be honest, I much prefer your version of 6th and 7th year to HBP and DH, now THAT's really saying something! THIS is how Deathly Hallows should've ended, dammit, not with Snape's body lying somewhere in the Shrieking Shack with no mention of even a proper burial...
OK, I'll stop ranting now, but I just wanted to let you know how happy you've made me (this series is now one of my favorite fanfics of all time!), and that I hope you'll write more great fics like these in the future! :)
