Reviews For O Mine Enemy
Author's Response: Ack, I totally missed that memo! Sorry, I'll do better about reading memos when I return. ;) Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!!
I also really appreciate how you’re pacing out Harry coming out of the potion and transitioning into Hogwarts. The end of the Voldemort Arc is pretty significant, and you’re doing a great job of not rushing it. Is it too cheesy to say it feels just right? 😉 I also found it really interesting how Harry didn’t remember his time with Voldemort. It was a unique little twist that I didn’t expect, and made the last bit of this chapter all the more bittersweet :( Can’t say I’m not looking forward to Snape getting over himself and accepting his newfound role in Harry’s life. With that said, I hope you enjoy your vacation! These are super stressful times we’re in, and just for writing alone I’d say you deserve it. Can’t wait until you’re back! Author's Response: If it is too cheesy, then lay on the cheese, lol! Thank you so much for your kind words. I've really tried throughout this entire fic to not rush plot points, so it's nice to get that feedback when it's working. :) And I'm really not in the mood to drag things out more than they need to be, so don't worry too much about Snape staying away for long. ;)
Author's Response: Alas, I haven't posted it yet! I stopped working on it in order to finish OME (I'm a one project at a time girl), but I plan to get back to it after OME is complete. :)
Author's Response: Wow, I'm so excited that you love it that much! It means a lot when people care enough to re-read OME before it's even complete, because I've done that myself with my favorite WIP fics. :) Thank you for the review and you stay safe also!!
He was even pleasantly surprised to find that it wasn’t all drudgery. Once he got past the dull introductory chapters, there were quite a few fascinating facts about Occlumency and tactics an Occlumens could use. It wasn’t all about fending off attacks, he learned; it was also about mastering misdirection. When he got to the chapter about ways in which strong emotion could be tethered to specific memories, which could then be used to misdirect a Legilimens, he read the chapter twice through and marked it for future study. I just ask cause that's kind of what barru did with Voldemort. He used the emotion of love and those memories which really fucked with Voldemort s head. Idk if that was done on purpose. I already think your fucking brilliant and if it was done on purpose than that just shows even more brilliance than I realized lol but if not: don't worry. You're still brilliant Author's Response: Thanks so so much for the review! I love it when people pull out things that I put in the story, not sure if anybody would ever notice. :) Honestly, I do put seemingly inconsequential things in that I plan on being important later, but sometimes I also get inspired by past chapters to expound on things that weren't necessarily planned. This one was about half and half. I knew that I wanted Harry to use that bit of Occlumency and that it would tie into his battle with Voldemort, but I wasn't 100% certain yet exactly how it would play out. :)
Author's Response: *sigh* I love reviews. Thank you :)
Author's Response: Yeah, true. Snape needs a hug, maybe? :) |
