Reviews For O Mine Enemy
ooo...pufferfish anatomy! must be fascinating to study that firsthand, huh Harry?! i swear, i love reading some of the stuff snape comes up with! it's brilliant! i thought the whole ministry cover-up of azkaban was very realistic for canon-iness...i can just imagine them scurrying about in their little offices and weaving up a little story to publish! ha, and yes, i caught that, "yes, ron, you can have my broomstick if...you know..." trust our favorite wheezy to be the epitome of tact! the part where snape stopped before saying spoiled was kinda sweet, actually. ugh, sweet isn't the right word! well i don't know, but it made my heart get all swelly and look proudly at snape and harry and want to give them a gold medal for achievements of mankind. there, my descriptions of emotion have improved dramatically, haven't they? Author's Response: It's the belle! Yay! I'm glad I get to be a little part of making you happy, as you are a huge part of making me happy! Let me just say: I'm glad I've never met a pufferfish. I think Snape is a brilliant guy (and I'm glad - I'd never be able to write him if he didn't tell me what he wants to say). That ministry - sheesh - will they ever grow up? And I love Ron's lack of tact, don't you? :) Yes, your descriptions of emotion are excellent - I actually swelled a little right alongside you at hearing it put like that. Though I wouldn't tell Snape he's "sweet" quite yet. He might have you for dinner.
Author's Response: Yummy! You actually make him sound edibly delicious. ;) Thank you for the nice review!
Author's Response: If Snape had his way (and if it were legal), I think instead of having Harry cut up potions ingredients all summer, he might use Harry as a main ingredient. But that's just my impression... ;) Maybe he'll come around...or maybe not... Keep posted! And thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Wow, how can I resist a please like that? ;) Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Oh no...I'm so sad that you're caught up. I was having a lot of fun reading your reviews. :( I guess I'll just have to get moving on finishing the next chapter so I can read more!!!
Author's Response: Better not tell Snape you think he's a nice guy...he might make YOU disembowel toads! :) Thanks for another wonderful review!
Author's Response: Hehe, this is fun to read one review after another. It's like getting to sit down with you and watch your reactions after reading each chapter of the story! And yes, that was not Harry's shining moment...poor stressed out Harry...
Author's Response: 'Amazing'...'good job'... those are good compliments in and of themselves, so I thank you for being such an awesome reviewer that you expounded even further!! :) Even though it was difficult for you, I thank you so much for caring enough to review after each chapter!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'll see what I can do about some more action in future chapters... :)
Plus, I think you've made it clear that Harry really doesn't like people feeling sorry for him or treating him like a child, and Snape doesn't do either. I'm anxious, though, to see how Snape and Harry get along for the rest of the summer. It seems like Snape really understands Harry even if he's reluctant to admit it. I'm enjoying this story so much! You have a real talent for writing realistic dialogue. The exchange between Hermione, Ron, and Harry was spot-on. I loved it. Oh, and I really liked how you ended this chapter. It's nice to see Harry smile once and a while...he's such an angsty kid. lol. And one more thing...since I read this story straight through a week or two ago, I meant to comment about the early chapters, but forgot when I kind of lumped my review into one at the end of the last chapter. ANYWAY...I appreciate how you made the abuse Harry suffered from his uncle believable and not over-done. I've read fics where Harry is absolutely pummled by Uncle Vernon and left for death. I guess I'm just saying that this fic is awfully believable and I love it!! That said, I can't wait for the next update! Author's Response: Hehe, I totally know what you mean with getting ill! I think it's the amount of fics I've read that have annoyed me with a too-nice-too-fast-Snape that made me want to take his development so slow in my own fic... Thanks so much for the complimentary review! I love to read what you & others like (or don't) about this fic! I'm so glad you're liking my writing style and that you think it realistic! Thanks!!! |
