    Poor baby

unfortuantely this wasn't one of your better chapters: 8

    please update soon!

    Author's Response:

Unless you explain what made this chapter "not one of my better," an "8" has no meaning at all by itself. I'm open to constructive criticism and suggestions for improvements, so it would be helpful if reviewers would state what was the weak (or strong) point in a particular chapter.

    I'm glad you're enjoying the story. :-)

You are writing this story extremely well.

I absolutely detest Lupin -- he seems so weak! I also detest Snape because he is just so Snapeish and feel horribly sorry for Harry who is left with absolutely nothing and no one.

This is a Severitus, so I'm guessing that Snape already knows that he is Harry's father and that's why he has guardianship. He doesn't seem to have any understanding of Harry's previous life or really, any understanding of Harry either. I'm hoping, though, that there is some caring there for Harry that has made him and Lupin concoct this whole plan rather than let Harry be made a ward of Fudge or the ministry.

    Author's Response:

Snape's never liked Harry, and he hasn't been given any reason for his feelings to change. When you don't like someone, you aren't very motivated to understand them. He's got blinders on, for sure, but he might turn out to have good reason for it.

Oh, poor Harry, what a mess! Not liking Snape, but caring whether or not he is pleased with him... that must be tough! What tension and misery in this chapter. i think maybe Ginny should befrind him. :) He needs a friend, and she seems to be able to at least talk to him.

    Good chapter, thanks for updating!

    Author's Response:

Ah, but think about what a friendship with Ginny would mean. The rest of the Weasley gang are already not very kind to Hadrian. Does he need more on his plate?  :0)

My heart bleeds for this poor kid. 'Everything is always about you Potter'. I would say that nothing is about Harry. Snape loathes him and some fool made him Harry's guardian. Why should Harry just accept having everything in his life decided for him?

This is really frustrating me, I have to say. i don't know how Harry hasn't really exploded at Lupin as well.

An one question. Just because Snape is harry's guardian, how does that make him the owner of everything that is Harry's. Is that the way it works in the wizarding world in your story.

I loathe Snape in this story, and for the first time ever, you've managed to make me dislike Lupin.

And I presume the slash relationship is Sev/Lupin? What a drag having Harry in the house. Why didn't they just leave him in danger in Privet Drive seem as no-one cares for Harry anyway.

    Hi there,
I have read all of the chapters up to now in spite of myself. You write very well. I started out of an idle sense of curiosity and I liked that you said Snape wouldn't get a mother of the year award. I hate it when Snape and Harry fall in love too quickly.

There doesn't seem to be any danger of them falling in love at all here. And I am intrigued as to what is wrong with Remus of course. And how could Snape just suddenly be Harry's guardian?

I nearly stopped reading when Arhtur and Molly have turned against HArry. I hate that.

The whole thing is a big mystery and I will have to keep on reading to satisfy my curiosity.

I feel so sorry for Harry.

Great chapter. I love this story! You are an excellent writer. When I read this story, I can feel Harry's emotions. I read a great deal of fanfiction and there are only a few writers who capture my imagination in this way.

Author's Response: Thank you. It's definitely better in my head, and I don't have the skill to get it all in writing. I'm glad enough of it comes out right. :-)

Why have I not been reading this story before? I don't know... maybe because the title reminded me of an old 'N Sync song... or something. No matter the reason, I'm sorry I had not been reading this before because it's great! I can't wait for more!

Author's Response: Ack... I think I remember that song. LOL

    Oh my...
*points finger at you* That story is so damn well written it won't leave me alone for hours after I read that chapter the first time!
I'm really starting to fear for Harry's live and sanity.
He is either going to crumbel and jump off a tower or even worse turn to selfdestructive meassures in his misery; or he's going to shut down and turn into a bitter young man... or he might put "Harry" into a corner/box and actually become Hadrian... *huffs*
I really wonder if Prof. Snape ever had any lessons or seminars about how to teach and work with children! *shushes the teacher in her into silence*
Anyway the only thing I know for sure is that this story will haunt me for days to come ;)
I'm looking forward to the next chapter(s)!
    Greetings
    SH

P.S.: ... there will be a happy end, right?

    Author's Response:

Yes, there will be a happy ending. There's just no glimpse of an ending in sight yet.

I've already reassured a number of readers that I don't do self-harm/suicide, or that kind of thing, and I'm a sucker for things working out in the end, although I equally enjoy the messiness and complexity of life and relationships.

Having Harry take on the persona of Hadrian would be kind of tragic and dark, wouldn't it? I don't think I could pull it off convincingly. He definitely has an identity crisis coming his way, just not through insanity. :-)

Apparently in canon Snape's been teaching since he was barely out of school himself. Does Hogwarts require any kind of child development courses? Didn't think so. LOL

I feel really bad for Harry, honestly being stuck in that house and lupins making him feel completely responsible for Sirius and Dumbledors deaths, that's horrible. I really don't understand what Harry did wrong and why he had to appoligize to snape, I mean Snape took HIS letter. poor kid.
I really feel bad that no one really cares what happens to him any more either!
    Goodness!
anyways i like ur writting style its so very JK Rowling, I can honestly say Harry is in perfect character
I wonder what snape meant making a whole scene with the soup and why lupin stopped smiling when harry said not to listen to snape....?
