Whoohoo! Go, Tobias! I think his last argument just trumped anything Severus could've said.

I like Severus' father in this story; he's not perfect, but he seems like a decent guy.

Loved the name of Eileen's drink, and the way she drank it. She is a piece of work, tough as nails, but a lot more honest than average.

Loved the almost identical dismissal she received from Tobias and Severus.

    Funny ending.

Very good story, and your OC's were much the best of it, a very rare occurance in fanfic.

    Dursley's & Weasley's (are not possessive, yet you got Grangers right in the same sentence yet);

    Author's Response:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Elieen and Tobias are probably my favorite characters in this story.

    Thanks for all the reviews!

Tobias' identical interviews with Harry and Severus are acutely funny. As usual, he takes charge, though I thought them staying at the cottage instead of beating it the hell out of there was rather risky.

Eileen appears to be a very powerful witch.

Dumbledore is an extremely manipulative wizard.

Harry's behaviour seems to be acting out--he's rather pissed at his Dad re the Imperio. But Tobias' discipline is quite impressive. Surprised to see Hermoine giving lip, though.

Eileen & Moody and the traps was very funny.

I really loved the differing POVs here, and how absolutely characteristic they are: Severus is angry at his mother; Serenity thinks it's an adventure; Sirius is torn between looking at Serenity's ass and worrying about his relation with Harry; Moody's brooding about betrayal; Hermoine is analyzing algae and rocks; Ron is worried about the silence; Ginny misses her brothers; Eileen is concerned about the reaction of Tobias and Severus (but typically not Harry, with whom she seems to have no bond whatever); and Tobias is concerned with his sons and the morale of the party. I liked the way he did it.

Harry's reaction, and Severus' attempt to soothe him are very poignant.

"What sons?" is a really bravura moment and completely in character. I salute you.

But...Tobias' joke about Eileen and vulvas is extremely funny but vulgar. In the character that you've drawn for him--very disciplined and upright--I doubt he'd make that sort of comment in front of a female adolescent (Hermoine). You could convey the basic joke sans graphic detail.

'Princess' of course it's a pun, and I'm too dumbass to get it. :)

I wondered if this was a pun, too: "I would like to get out of her before I die of old age", but though Tobias and Eileen have the hots for each other, I suspect you meant 'here.'
