Great chapter! The only thing I don't really get is how Harry managed to get on the Hogwarts Express without the glamour, since he can't use magic outside of school and there are old bruises that have been covered up by the new ones. Or maybe the old ones are pretty faded, and he's gotten the new ones like right before he goes to Hogwarts?

Wow. This is like ... REALLY good. Go Snape XD. He and Harry are very IC, which is awesome, and also I really like how this story is written in present tense, which really grabs my attention. Wow XD

What a terrific story!! I absolutely loved this!! And how awesome of Snape to make an emergency portkey out of one of Harry's broken toy soldiers from his childhood!! Vernon should be drawn and quartered - and Snape's the man to do it!!
I'm looking forward to your new story, and I'm hoping that Harry and Snape can develop a friendship/mentorship!!

I hope you do consider writing a sequel--the characterizations are wonderful, and you really excel at writing the interpersonal scenes. I would love to see you develop Harry's and Snape's relationship more. By the way--interesting choice, writing it in present tense. Thanks for a great story.

Wonderful story. I am bunk at reviewing stories, but I wanted to let you know that I enjoyed it very much. I hope you will write more for as long as you enjoy doing so as well. Looking forward to the sequel.

I was just recommended this story via Yahoo! group. It's extremely good to read, and I sincerely hope you will write a sequel. Personally, I believe no one less threatening than Snape himself will do for Harry's summer guardian.

I read this all in one big gulp tonight. Wow! I certainly hope to see a sequel filling itself out here soon. I don't recall reading anything you've written before. Let me say I'm very impressed. You're characterizations are so strong and so believable. I've rarely if ever read a Snape and Harry who are so well in character. You've placed these characters we so much love in a more-than-somewhat unlikely situation without at all altering the characteristics that we find so compelling. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
