I very much admire the restraint you showed in writing this scene in the way you did. So many times this kind of scene is pushed too far, with the responses of the "avenging" wizards (usually Snape or Sirius), way over the top. But you've been so careful to make Dumbledore's reponse so, well -- *right.* And Snape only "loses it" just a little at the end. Really well done scene!
What a powerful chapter, and one sorely needed in the canon books. I wish it had been there, too. You did it very well.
Wonderful! Keep the updates coming!

So so so awesome.
I particularly love this bit: "I would kill you now," he says, "if Potter did not have further need of you. Be warned. I have done worse for less cause, and I have not the Headmaster's...prudence."
That and the fact that he takes one of the soldiers when he leaves.
Excellent! I loved the confrentation with Vernon! Keep up the great writing!

Cant wait to see what happens. Please update soon!!!
I'm enjoying this. Its nice to have a story that's in presnt tense that isn't written badly. (Not that all storries written in present tense are bad- this fic is proof. :)

A cliffhanger? I wasn't expecting that. But thank for being able to update so soon next time....
Can't wait to see what happens next!
Your characterization of Snape is spot on. Well done. There are really very few writers who catch his voice this well. And you get Dumbledore *just* as well. I particularly liked Dumbledore getting so amused at the idea of putting Snape at the Dursleys. And this line was excellent for its insight:
"He thinks you do not care, so he is frank with you."
I like that, because it lays a good foundation/explanation for Harry opening up to Snape.
