Wow...what a chapter! And no, I didn't see that coming. I never thought Snape would have cracked first knowing Harry's tendency to become temporarily psychotic...lol.
I loved the vision Harry used to calm Snape down. The imagery was fantastic.
Also, the bit about the wand cores was brilliant. How did you think of that? I never would have thought to juxtapose thestrals and phoenixes. Great job with that.
I'm still trying to figure out if Snape and Harry possess (and will continute to possess) more of a friend/mentor relationship or if it will blossom into something more...guardian-like. Either way, I'm enjoying the ambiguity of it.
You're doing an awesome job with such an original story. I love it. Your story definitely deserves to be featured. It's brilliant.

Snape cracking was a long time in coming, but appropriate, nonetheless. I'm wondering if he would have lasted longer if it wasn't Harry he was trapped with. That boy does seem to be the one with never ending questions.
Anyway, great chapter. I loved Harry's word picture for flying. Almost made me feel as if I could fly, too. And Snape's comment about going flying after they kill Dumbledore was priceless. Thanks for the update.

I can just imagine Sev and Harry storming into Dumbledore's office and yelling at him and Dumbledore saying "would you like some lemon drops?"

I've been reading this silently for quite some time - but now I felt was the time to voice my utter delight with this story. It's so damn good, and it makes me so damn happy whenever I see that you've updated it. I love the slow progression of the relationship, and how Snape is still so very much Severus somewhere in his mind, but not at all willing to admit it. Love your Harry. Love your story. I'll go as far as to say I love you, although I'm rather scared of intimacy with fanfic authors. You'll finish this, of course, because it's much to awesome to be abandoned at some indeterminate juncture in time.
Okay, now I'm just engaging in nonsensical rambling. Once again, love it.
