Very insightful chapter. Harry really does have terrible experiences with those who have authority over him, and I really admired Severus in this chapter for refusing to let Harry get away with thinking they could just be friends. I'm glad that Harry got this all worked out with the help of Ron and Hermione.

Such a great chapter! I really loved the whole confrontation with Snape about him being something, but Harry cna't really put his finger on what that is. I just loved how you managed the conversation between them, and with Hermione and Ron afterwards. I enjoyed every word. Thanks for the update and I can't wait for the next. Will the detention be in it? *crosses fingers* Oh yeah, and loved Harry killing him politeness and Snape being annoyed by that. Wonderful, wonderful. I hope Snape will eventually comment on that.
I really enjoyed this. I wasn't sure where it was going as the conversation between Harry and Snape started, but it was very good. I like that it isn't easy for Harry. Most of these sort of stories, Snape is the one confused and Harry wants him to be all dad-like. I like that Harry isn't sure how to have a relationship that isn't friendship or enemies.

I found the scene involving the photograph of Lily's parents to be painfully poignant and brilliantly written. You seem to really have a grasp on Snape's character--and Harry's as well. Emotions seem to be your thing, and you tackle them with a realistic edge. You make us feel Harry's confusion and Snape's inner turmoil. You really do Severus' progression justice. This story is still one of my all-time favorites, and I love it more with each chapter. Thanks for sharing your talent with us :-)

That was a beautiful chapter. I've been wondering all along how Snape and Harry would turn out, relationship wise. Would they be friends? Father/Son figures to each other? Continue on as mortal enemies or even just ignore each other? You're bringing them along brilliantly. You're showing Snape to be as screwed up as he really does seem to be in canon and you're healing him bit by bit just as you're healing Harry. Very good writing. I love it!
