I love this story. I have probably read hundreds of mentoring fics, and I would put this in my top five. From the insanity that was Dumbledore's Room of Requirement (so much like those earlier tests he designed for Harry), to Snape and Harry's mistakes and successes, to the heightened (but not melodramatic) emotional tone-- it's amazing. The dialogue is wonderfully real and paired with great descriptions of gestures and body language-- it may seem simple when done right, but it's very, very difficult for most writers. I'm also surprised to find both Snape and Harry seem quite equally screwed up and both likable. Snape is often more violent, more unfair-- and yet somehow his lashing out seems wrong and yet very human and understandable (but I can't emphasize this enough, it's not condoned or excused). I look forward to the next chapter.

Finally! Great chapter! As always I enjoyed the conversation between Harry and Snape most. But to remember what the last chapter was about I head to reread it... could you manage to update a tiny bit more regularly? All this waiting is really frustrating... I LOVE YOUR STORY!!!

Wonderfully written, I am so glad that you updated. I really do love and admire your use of symbolism. You are an astounding writer! This story is one of my favorites by far!

no you havent and were certainly glad you havent i simply love the way you write. the way both snape and harry uncover wounds one by and one, the way they solve them even though they're not really sure what their doing its soo touching its simply amazing!
