Ah, makes sense that he would stabilize Harry before calling anyone from Hogwarts.
I like that Snape is willing to leave Dumbledore because of Harry's maltreatment and I particularly liked when Snape said that he'd try some first. Anyway this is a wonderful story so far and I can't wait to see what will happen next.
This is very well written, and I feel so very bad for Harry!

wow that was a really good Chapter I loved it I can't wait for Harry to actually meet Snape and talk to him!
There are so many "aww' moments in this story but I think I'll just pick my favourite:
"A thrill of fear went through the boy, but he knew better than to drink things offered to him when he'd been bad. Last time Aunt Petunia had told him to "drink up," and had given him something yellow that smelt of lemons, it had burned his throat and his stomach. He'd been sick for days, and not allowed in the house."
One of many perfect lines in a perfect story. Harry's treatment at the hands of his relatives is so ... enraging X( I have no love for them. D:

Oh! Harry thinks he's a house elf! The poor boy! And he likes the idea. Oh, poor child.
"Who were these watchers? Severus wondered. And how many of them could he strangle before he was sent to Azkaban?"
LOL!
Poor little Harry, thinking he's going to be a house elf. It is rather a bad sign that he had such a low reaction to having a weird creature pop out of nowhere, although I suppose at his age it might not be as bad as if he were older.

Great chapter! Poor little Harry thinks he is a house elf but I'm sure Snape will straighten things out.
