Reviews For Whelp
"Draco face was reddening, and it contrasted quite a lot with his pale, slicked-back hair. "I don't know! But it's bad, whatever it is, and they are it." LOL! Sometimes you are such a noob, Draco. Cute, but a noob. "Severus wondered briefly how far off the grounds he could get if he were to wipe that expression off Malfoy's face permanently." Probably not very far - I daresay you'd be stopped by the white peacocks, who Lucius has probably trained to live off meat XD
Anyway, wonderful chapter! It's nice to see Harry starting to have fun and laugh :) Author's Response: HI Jade, Yeah, even in canon, there's hints that Lucius may not be much of a strnager to dealing out physical punishment. And I figured Draco could use a friend as much as Harry could. There'll be plenty of opportunity for the two of them to get into mischief at Hogwarts. Should be fun. ;-) Thanks for the review!
lol ruey Author's Response: Hmm, interesting idea. I'll have to consider that. Thanks for the review!
It will be interesting to see how the two of them balance each other out. Harry is way to old for his years, and Draco is too coddled to truly know the ways of the world. I'm sure, though, that they both understand what it is like to have a domineering role model. Lucius can be just as cruel as Vernon Dursley, I'm sure. Thanks for the update.... Author's Response: You've hit the nail on the head. draco might even come off the more changed (from canon, at least) by the experience of having Harry as a friend. I figure, he probably doesn't have much in the way of peer interaction, so having Harry aruond will be good for him, too. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Oh, yes. Mischief galore! ;-)
I love stories in which Harry and Draco are friends. It's pretty hard to picture it when it happens after they've already had their school boy issues (though it can be done quite well sometimes), but when they start off as little kids and don't know they're "supposed" to be prejudice against each other... it's just really fun. I'm glad Harry has a real friend now. That would be something good to bring up in the next chapter or so, I would think - that he actually has a friend. You know how little kids can be when they meet a new friend. It's all they ever talk about, lol. Good job. I really liked the flow of the chapter, and the snideness that is Lucius Malfoy, lol. Keira Author's Response: Oh, yes, Draco has the opportunity to be much more well rounded as a character (instead of Prince WhinyBrat) and the two *will* balance each other out nicely. Thanks for the review! I should have a new chapter out tomorrow or Saturday. |
