Reviews For Word Up
As I said in my first review on this story, I really, really like this Severus. He's an incredibly talented, intelligent, and strong man who has an amazing amount of integrity with flaws that are neither overdone or ignored. Like Harry I am curious as to what the discussion between Severus, Remus and Dumbledore was about. I suppose I'll find out eventually as events play out. I do think Remus was being dense asking Harry if Severus was angry. But perhaps it can be blamed onteh approaching full moon. On to the next chapter. Sleep? Who needs sleep?
much love, Beth Author's Response: That hymn actually is ancient Sumerian. No joke. But I'm going to be taking a lot of liberties with it in this story. I know, it is sad. It will definitely come up again. Remus will be in here a lot, so I'm glad you like interaction between them. But just in case, we'll both have to love Snape. lol Thanks Beth! Enjoy!
Author's Response: Thanks!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! That fight seemed HUGE to me when I was writing it but it was rather short. I just couldn't see Snape continuing to be that angry after Harry's bombshell apology. Remus huh? Well...keep reading! There's a rough sketch of a plan for everyone. But it might take a while to get there. :) Thanks and enjoy!
Your portrayal of Snape is right on. I bet you were thinking of Snape's potions book while writing those comments in the book margins. It's so rare when Snape is caring yet in character, and you've managed it. You have to go on about the ancient Sumerian poem. Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I really appreciate it. I'm relieved that Snape is in character. Writing him as a pleasant, polite person just leaves a bad taste in the mouth. As for the Sumerian poem...well you'll just have to wait and see. ;)
Author's Response: Thanks for the review. It's really hard to make these two get along. Hehe Ah, the hazards of writing Snape!
Author's Response: Thanks! I have this idea that Snape has an ego. Don't know where I got that :) I just thought that writing a book would be something he'd do, especially because he can't stand the incompetence of all the DADA teachers he's seen.
Author's Response: Thanks so much for the review. The poem is from an ancient sumerian story (it's not mine)...kind of like the biblical story of Job. I liked it too. More on that later.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I'm glad you like it. Do you mean like describing rooms and objects and setting the scene? Can do! Keep making suggestions on my writing, I'm trying to use them all in later chapters. I think it's really been helping me. But I'll let y'all be the judge of that.
Author's Response: Awesome, Thanks! I really liked this chapter too. |
