Reviews For Word Up
Another great chapter and wonderful interaction between the characters. Harry's punishment seems very appropriate to me and I think it would be good for the other kids to have to do the same thing. Onwards!
Author's Response: Do you mean like folk music? No, that doesn’t really fit your description either. But I think I get it. If I figure out the genre, I’ll let you know. Glad you like the story! Thanks and enjoy!
P.S. My Snape (I do think he should be mine too!) listens to more than one genre of music. I think he's too intelligent to limit himself. I can see him listening to Rachmaninoff (the piece where Mephistophiles fights Faust). I can also see him listening to The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, etc. (I see a red door and I want to paint it black!) as well as Jazz. I can't see him into Heavy Metal Author's Response: Hi! Thanks for coming over. I don't like to think of it as holding out. I prefer to call it a test run! I've learned how to write from these people. I went back and changed the beginnning chapters (mostly) but if you could have seen them when I started...Epic length paragraphs and me, blissfully unaware. LOL More stories? Do you have suggestions? I thought of trying to do a challenge, but this one still has a ways to go. Jimi Hendrix? We'll change it to green haze...LOL Enjoy!
Author's Response: Thanks! I really appreciate that. More to come soon. Enjoy!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm always thrilled to hear that Snape's portrayal is good, he's a tough one. Will update soon. Looking forward to hearing from you again!
I'm laughing by the way. Out loud. At work. As for the story, I love it. This was a great chapter. I just knew Harry would get into some sort of trouble, but I wasn't expecting Molly to accuse Snape of hitting or mistreating Harry. It makes sense, though, because the first thing that (probably) comes to most everyone's mind when thinking about Snape as a guardian is an image of a strict man who isn't afraid of handing out a beating... So I thought that was a good scene. I loved the juxtaposition of Molly and Snape. Unusual and interesting. I think you do a really nice job with dialogue as well. You also have a great way of describing things in detail. I just can't seem to get a handle on Harry's shaved head, though...lol. Poor kid. Excellent job overall! I can't wait for the next chapter! Author's Response: Thanks for the review! (and the vote...that's a good one) I had some fun writing the Molly scene. I like Molly, but I just can't see anyone who loves Harry being thrilled with Snape watching over him. And we all know how protective she can be now. ;^) That shaved head...I know what you mean. I wrote that part and I still have to remind myself that he's bald sometimes.
great chapter. i love harry defending snape. Author's Response: Ah, the standards. Interesting. Do you think he digs the old musical too, like Meet Me In St. Louis? LOL Thanks for the review! It's about time Harry defended Snape eh? After everything that's happened...
Author's Response: I'm exceedingly proud of that line. Sad huh? LOL Thanks for the review! German Techno!!!!!! LIke Cosmic Baby and Hansel and Gretel? Ooooh! That's awesome. Great story by the way. Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Glad you like it. That's two for classical, one for hard rock and one for the moaning of suffering students in the potions classroom.
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! I like Mrs. Weasley too, esp. after DH. ;^) Maybe I'll pit Snape and Molly in a final showdown at the end. LOL Just kidding. But wouldn't it be fun to see? Care to take bets? |
