Reviews For Walk the Shadows
Part of me is very upset with Harry. What was he thinking to mentally attack another person in such a way? Does he realize that he's stooped to the same level as the people who hurt him? But another part of me says that Dumbledore is at least partially to blame for a lot of Harry's pain, and he's been rather cavalier about it. I also think that perhaps everyone, even Snape, who probably knows Harry better than anyone at this point, is expecting him to recover too fast. Not only from the last horrific assualt, but from all the years of abuse he's suffered. Harry is just a mass of pain and rage right now. He may have begun to heal, but I think it's still going to be a long time before all those horrible feelings are really better. When he came face to face with Dumbledore, he saw someone he could blame for all the bad things that have happened. His own pain is too strong for him to be rational, and he lashed out. I certainly hope Dumbledore is all right, and I can understand how angry Snape is, as I've already said, but I do think Harry may not be completely to blame for his actions, and I hope Snape can try to understand why Harry acted the way he did, too. Looking forward to more! Author's Response: >>Harry is just a mass of pain and rage right now. He may have begun to heal, but I think it's still going to be a long time before all those horrible feelings are really better. Yes, exactly. I couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you for your incisive review!
