I think it would almost be better to try to show each of their perspectives in the same chapter at the time of the incident rather than alternating back and forth. It will take you much longer to get through the story if you have two chapters for one set of events.
Poor Harry! But I still have to love Snape. He and Harry just have different understandings...and a well developed grudge on one side. Nice chapter!
Jeez, Snape is being rather harsh, don't you think?
"He felt a sharp pang of guilt, quickly suppressed; he did not believe in corporal punishment, having too often felt a heavy hand in his own youth, and he should not have let his emotions take him so completely by control this morning."
Snapey - your burgeoning conscience slightly lowers you on my list of lewsers, but not by much, I'm afraid. Maybe if you got over your little Potter-loathing complex, maybe discovered that Harry has been viciously abused, and then decided to take him under your wing for the rest of your natural life, I MIGHT reconsider. But only maybe XD And only if it invovles lots of Snape/Harry LUFF moments.
This is very interesting. I like your take on the characters -- some writers tend to lose Harry's... well, *Harryness* when they do resorting stories. I'm happily awaiting the next chapter.
Oh. Poor, poor Harry. Snape IS cruel, though I can understand why. Still. Poor kid, that was a low blow.
I hope that he gets his new clothes soon. Good job with this! Snape is very much in character. I can't wait until he learns more. Great job on even the daily potions and thoughts. :) Thanks for the update!

Permission to start throttling Snape? This is outrageous. He is truly blind, with regards to Harry - to a degree that itself borders on abuse, and is well into mild neglect, as he is the one who is to take care of Harry now, at least as the Head of House. He is not so bad as the Dursleys, but they are in a class by themselves. A teacher with such long experience - and especially his own personal history - surely would recognize signs of abuse & neglect!
Good story! I'm really liking it - please keep it up!
Can't wait to see what comes of Snape's planned visit to Harry's house... :)

I always feel sorry for Harry until someone gets a clue. Let's hope Snape will eventually.
