Severus is being an absolute butt... and I'm loving it MUHAHAHA XD
The description of Harry hunched over the cauldrons was really vivid. It made my heart ache for him...poor thing. I really loved the last scene where Harry was having his nightmare, and I could tell Snape was concerned even though he assigned another detention.
This was a really good chapter. I can't help but laugh at all of the "Brat who..." statements that Snape comes up with. Although, I feel so sorry for Harry :(
Good chapter! I like your idea of alternating between Snape's POV and Harry's.
I like the idea of alternating POV's every once in a while, but not for each chapter. That could get pretty old after a while, lol. I enjoyed seeing where Snape was coming from on this first day back, however. Makes things much clearer. I still don't quite get how he was half asleep while yelling at Harry, lol, but I can see how he thinks he gave him the bruise. And that moment of guilt... PERFECT.
Infected scar? YUCK. But a neat touch all the same. Can't wait for more :D
Author's Response: Yeah, I don't know if the POV shift thing will work for the whole story, but I thought I'd try it out for a while anyway. If it gets too cumbersome, I trust folks to let me know if I haven't guessed it already, and I'll give it up quick. :-) Thanks for the feedback!

I believe Percy Weasley was a fifth year during Harry's first. Other than that it was great though.
Author's Response: Ack, you're right! I don't know what I was thinking. Hmmmm, maybe he skipped a year of potions? ;-) Thanks for the pointed, and the review!
I'm curious about the possibility of a home visit. Snape knows, I assume, that the relatives Harry lives with are his aunt and uncle. Snape knows Petunia. While he certainly might not know how she'd treat Harry (she spoils Dudley after all), he would know that Petunia resented Lily when they were children.
As regards detentions to Slytherins, I think you've got canon on your side there, since I believe that while canon tells us Snape didn't take points from his own House, we do find him giving Slytherins detention.
Nice job with nasty!Snape, but he is SO hard to read--realistic, I know, but painful. Poor Harry isn't going to get a break for a while, is he? But Snape makes home visits, eh? Nice to hear.
I think you're doing an amazing job with this. It's really a good story. It's definately one of my favorites. I like the separate points of view, as well. Keep up the good work!
You write at an absolutely astonishing speed. I love this story and I'm always glad to see any of your stories updated. Keep up the great work!
