It’s always heartening when first years are sent for comprehensive check ups, which should be standard practice across Houses! Snape (and even Pomfrey) were harsher than I expected, but I’m glad that Harry responded well. I’m looking forward to the Dursley visit!

Oh, I love how feisty and mouthy Harry is in this chapter :). He seems very much in character.
"Indeed. You don't imagine you're the first child reluctant to speak of their health history, do you? We have a connection to Wizarding Child Services, who would only be too happy to come and spend some time with you." Madam Pomfrey smiled at him benignly, but he saw it for what it was. She was a great manipulator."
Poppy Pomfrey. You are so positively Slytherin XD I like how she's all like, mkay I KNOW you're lying, so quit it.
Snapey - you had better be at least a LITTLE bit shocked next chapter. I know this will be a long process, and that you and Harry will require quite some time to get used to each other and start putting old preconceptions behind and all that, but he is a Slytherin and you are his Head of House and he is your responsibility XD

Great chapter! That examination must have been tough. I'm sure he's glad it's over. Your Snape in this chapter was well done indeed!! Fantastic tension.

Too true. Some medical questions always seem stupid. Nice dose of reality there. The ending was great, how Harry was feeling good, but apprehensive about going back home. I suppose he thinks there's going to be a big blowout, just like the other times. I wonder if Pomfrey and Snape will inform Dumbledore about Harry.

Can't blame the kid for being scared. Now I wanna see the scene where Snape visits the Dursleys, lol. That should be highly interesting.
I liked how you made Harry just reluctant enough that it was darn clear he didn't want to be there, but that he wasn't going to throw a major hissy fit to get out of there. I like the looks on Snape's face too. He tries so hard to be unreadable... lol.

I finally got around to reading this story. I like how you change the point of view. Can't wait to see what happens next, and the visit to the Dursley's if Severus is planning one.
