Yes!! I am soooo glad that Severus has reassured Harry that he won't be the one to pay (for once!) if (when) the Dursleys turn nasty!!
And now Severus can see the problems Harry's been having, and I'm hoping he's going to do something about them!!
I love your Harry - he's such a brave little guy, he's been through so much but he's still trying to do the best he can!!

What you are doing with the Bloody Baron is so unique! I sure can't imagine Nearly Headless Nick being willing to fight Voldemort for Harry. Good thing he's in Sytherin.
I also appreciated how Snape helped Harry to realize that Hogwarts was different from home and that he will protect him.
Veritaserum used on Vernon Dursley....that's something I'd like to see. Well, maybe not...who knows what would come flying out of his mouth.
The whole scene with the Baron was chilling...his flat tone... I'm still dying to know what is going on with Quirrell and the Baron and the night Harry was hurt.
And this line was the absolute best. I wanted to cheer:
He trailed off, sighed and looked away for a brief moment, then shook his head and decided the boy had suffered enough apathy on his part already. Enough equivocation. Time for him to admit some things, too. "Besides, I already believe you."

ooooh, the mystery continues. Very illuminating conversation between Snape and Harry, although Snape's conversation with the Baron was murky. Are all ghosts this vague about things, or is it just because he's muddled too? Looking forward to the next chapter.
Whooo!!! Great chapter! I really liked the exercise Harry had to do with the list of rules and rule breaking, and Snape's translation of why. I really also liked the part about the Baron. I did not expect that! Nice!
I love, love Snape's thoughts. Fantastic job with them. Good development! yay!

Oh, *squee*. The Bloody Baron is so freakin' cool. I'm loving this plotline, and I liked how both the mystery and the Snape-Harry relationship were advanced. Awesomeness.
