Reviews For Better Be Slytherin!
I love Harry's meltdown.
I loved this chapter and Harry's "meltdown." It makes so much sense that there'd finally be a "straw that breaks the camel's back." You've done a great job of building up that straw as well -- detentions, homework, eating, problems sleeping, dealing with other students, the whole thing gradually building until it all seems neverending. And how in the world will Harry ever believe in Snape's apology? Looking forward to finding out.
It was really obvious what a horrible time Harry's been having, especially now that we see it through his eyes. I especially liked where he was thinking how unfair it was that the Dursleys hated him because of his mother, and Snape hated him because of his father. It really is a such a shame, because Harry himself is a good kid who doesn't deserve that. I do hope that he and Severus can rebuild their relationship and really get to know one another. Harry's meltdown was quite scary, and I'm just glad that Flint was able to get through to him. I'm so glad that "Walk the Shadows" is going to be updated next, but I can't wait to see what happens here next, too!
Severus finally did it!! He actually apologised!! OMG!! I'm am squeeing like a mad thing here, you've no idea!! Oh poor Harry!! What a horrible, horrible time he's been having!! I'm so glad that he's had his fellow Slytherins and the Bloody Baron to step up for him!! And I'm sorry that he hurt himself while trying to express his rage - I'm sure he needed to get it out though before he gave himself an ulcer!! Maybe now that Severus has pulled his head out of his butt, he can help Harry get caught back up and onto a far more reasonable schedule if he isn't stuck with a bunch of unfair detentions!! Terrific chapter!! I'm sorry work is making you work (Hee!), and I hope your schedule also gets more reasonable!! Scarlett
And I reckon Snape should count himself lucky she hasn't bitten his throat out yet. It's really rather charming to see how seriously the Slytherin's take Rule One, and it's surely going to set up an interesting dynamic when Voldemort resurfaces; gonna be kind of hard to reconcile sticking with your housemates while serving someone who so obviously wants one of 'em dead. Now here's hoping Harry can bring himself to accept Snape's apology, and/or Snape can control his temper if he doesn't. |
