This chapter is so sweet. The ending not so much, lol, but the majority of the chapter is really endearing -- giving each other gifts! *Heart melts* And Ron... wow, did he deserve that loss of points or what. I love that brat, but in this story he kinda makes my stomach churn :( Great job!!
Spring is sprung, the grass is riz, I wonder where them birdies is. Them little birds are on the wing, don't be absurd, the wing is on the bird. Apparently she won a book of poetry with it in when she was a kid. The story is good, by the way. I love it when snape appears human! I hope you include more about snape's childhood. It isn't really fair for harry to have to expose all his secrets without some in return (but life isn't fair, I know).
His joy over his first real gifts is so sweet, and I'm glad too that Severus made an exception to his rule and gave Harry a gift. I loved that Harry gave Severus a gift, too, though I was expecting him to do so, and the fact that it was a drawing of Sev, just like Lily's, made it just perfect. It's just like Severus, too, to want to help shield Harry from Ron's taunts, but to make things worse instead. Sev means well, but he doesn't always have the experience in personal relationships to know the best way to handle these things. It probably would have been better to let Harry handle Ron on his own, and see if he could bring Ron around. Now I'm really eager to see what happens next, and to see their Occlumency lesson.
