Reviews For Better Be Slytherin!
Eagerly awaiting the next chapter (and second year). Gg
Author's Response: There's hope that Severus can eventually convince Harry that he is worth a great deal. Yes, that is my hope. I don't think anyone ever took the time to tell Harry that he was worth anything to anyone except by being their "savior" and the BWL, and, for me, it's one of the saddest things about the original books. Thanks for your review!
Author's Response: Did it take a long time to get just right? Yes! I brought my rough draft with me to Ireland and hammered at it several times while there, and again upon my return before it felt right. I didn't want it too sappy or sentimental, nor too tight and controlled either, and I'm glad I seem to have hit the right notes. Thank you for reviewing!
But lovely, lovely interaction between Severus and Harry. I'm so happy that everything is straightened out between them now. Looking forward to Year 2! Author's Response: Oooh, DisneyWorld! Fun, fun, fun! I went when I was 10 and it was the best trip ever . . . until I went backpacking thru Europe when I was 22. :) Thanks for the review; I'm hard at work on chapter 51!
Can't wait to see how things go down at the Dursleys this up-coming summer! That should be an interesting affair, they deserve whatever the Professor dishes out. Now that Harry’s reconsidered Sev's offer. I‘m sure the remainder of his summer will be for once enjoyable. P.S. Visiting Ireland must have been great! :D Author's Response: Ireland was lots of fun, but it was also relaxing, and it's been hard to get back in the work groove. :) Harry is still troubled . . . he killed a man, even if he did not mean to (and even though it was his mother's protection that was the final blow to Quirrell's evil), and that's something he won't get over easily. Also, his trust in Snape took a hard blow, especially after the way he was treated for the second half of the year, and that's not going to be easy to let go of either. But they can move forward from where they are now, instead of treading water. Thanks for reviewing! |
