Aww and a wonderful story ends! I can't wait for next year, when things will really start to change with Snape's heavy involvement. Great stuff!

Congratulations on finishing Year One! It's a fantastic story. Interesting switch on the end of year feast, and I liked how Severus was upset about winning, how that tied into his caring for Harry, and that Harry was able to recognize that, too.

I'm so looking forward to "Before the Dawn" and to "Year Two". Fraid I'm not much help with titles, though. I'm not good with them. I'd probably make it easy on myself and just call it "BBS: Year Two", lol.

    Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing!  I think I'm going to go with "The Heir of Slytherin" for Year Two because many people in "Chamber of Secrets" thought Harry was the heir, and now that he's actually in Slytherin House, even more will believe it.  Maybe it'll even be true.  :)

This story cost me many a sleepless night, but, plot-wise, it's so awesome. Great ending, too; can't wait for the summer tale =3 And bringing Dumbldore's machinations to Harry's attention warmed my heart ^^

Congratulations on completing your story. I've enjoyed reading it. Snape doesn't strike me as too dependable an anchor for Harry, but as you write him to show his emotional maturing along with Harry, it makes it more believable. Not a flame, just recognizing the effect you were going for as successful. Excellent use of ghosts by the way; not too many ever consider using them as story elements. Thank you for sharing your work. I look forward to reading another Slytherin Harry story.

Good ending! I'm looking forward to the sequel and what happens when Snape goes to the Dursleys.

I really appreciate your completing your stories. So many excellent writers quit part way through a fine story. Knowing that it hasn't always been easy for you to write, with Real Life as it is, makes your perseverance all the more appreciated.

An altogether wonderful story! I love to see the trust build between Harry & Severus realistically.

Please start the new story soon! I can't wait until Snape meets the Dursley's!

Yes, I like the ending and am looking forward the next one/

I am so glad that Snape saw through Dumbledore's acts. We all "liked" Dumbledore because the first person Harry mets, Hagdrid, said that Dumbledore was a great man and everyone went along with it.

In another fiction, called Accountable, Percy finally said why he didn't trust Dumbledore.

Year one: Ron goes up against a DL and gets rewarded for it.

Year Two:let two children go up against a Basilisk (the kids figured it out before the greatest wizard in the land) and Harry was rewarded again.

year three: after Ron's leg was broken, Dumbledore sent Harry and Hermione out after a werewolf, a dangerous rat and dementors

year four: D could have put the cup in his office but then let Harry compete and put Ron in the middle of the water where he could have died.

Looking at it from Percy's point of view, the least trustworthy person in the wizarding world was Albus Dumbledore.

    Author's Response:

Looking at it from Percy's point of view, the least trustworthy person in the wizarding world was Albus Dumbledore.

Got to agree with you (and/or Percy) there.  Or, at least Dumbles is the least responsible Headmaster there has ever been, not so much looking out for the welfare of his charges as putting them in constant danger and then patching them up afterwards if he can.

    Thanks for reviewing!

Wonderful! Can't wait for the sequel!. As for the title...hmm...Better Be Slytherin is obviously a reference to the sorting hat at the beginning of the year, so maybe a reference to the beginning of second year? Something else alliterative like Whomping the Willow or Flights of Fancy? I really like the original Better be Slytherin title, though, so why not just Better be Slytherin, year 2?

    Ectoplasm, hmm? ;-)
I've really enjoyed the story, and hope you get to year II soon. I can wait to see what transpires between Harry and Snape over the summer. Of course, I also like your other stories, so I just can't decide what I hope you'll work on next.....
