"Why are you laughing?" Oh I bet Harry wets the chair laughing! I know I feel about to. First the statement in itself and then his responce to the obvious laughter. Silly Snapey
I'm glad you plan to write all 7 of these. Even if it means you did drop Whelp II, I love this
You might find this funny, but when you wrote about the detention and raging dressing down at the begining here; I read that as "raging dressing gown" I have a touch of sledesica but suddenly I envisioned a posessed bathrobe yelling at Harry while Harry was in the showers. The rest was too sad to comment on, a clothes hanger, you certainly have the Dursleys pegged.
I haven't been commenting due to the story being finished and all. But your spin on this was fantastic. Thank you.
*applauds enthusiastically*
I love it! Bravo! Now... where is this rumored "year two"? *raises brow expectantly* I do hope you proceed shortly, though, like as not, a WIP would drive me out my head. Hmm... there is that, suppose.
Anyhow - well done!
Wow... This is a truly amazing story! I can't wait to read Year 2! I love Snape and Harry, of course, but I really liked that the Bloody Baron was in this too! Keep up the good work!
I gots to tell you, I was reluctant to read this fic. While I'm not against a Slytherin!Harry, I'm very wary of it. Harry and Gryffindor always just seemed so very right and it's the one part of canon I'm stuck to (i know, I'm incredibly picky!). But every time I was looking for something to read, your story kept popping up. So I gave in. I'm soo glad I did! Man, was that a fic. The plot was brilliant, the characters were perfect and you write like a pro. I am sorry I thought it would be anything but brilliance. Hell, I was *cheering (on the inside :) ) for Slytherin during Quidditch!
Snape was awesome, his pov so detailed in ways that explored him and his actions beautifully. Ooh and The Baron! He was great, I love his attachment to Harry, it's quite adorable (for a ghost dripping blood everywhere). Teddy and Millie were a lovely choice for his not-quite-Ron-and-Hermione. And Harry, of course, was a wonderful mix of Slytherin-ness and Gryffindor-ness. The differences that made Harry more Snake than Lion was subtle, so much so that I doubt you even changes Harry's personality. Brilliant.
Every detail was a perfect balance of canon and not-canon. I don't know how you manage to do that in the first place let alone to make it look so utterly flawless cos, wow, I'm pretty sure not even the most experienced writers could do that as well as you have.
For once, probably the first time in the history of ever, the fanfic 'rewritten-book-with-a-twist' was actually done well. It's never done well. Especially *that* well.
I'm not sure if you're still planning on the next book, but I'll be keeping a look out anyways.
I have one critism that you may or may not be interested in. I read in a non-stop bulk so I don't know where, but in a chapter somewhere you wrote 'take the mickie.' That, to me, makes perfect sense. However, last time I said that to an American, he was convinced 'take the mickie/mick' meant 'going to the toliet.' Just a warning :)
Loves it, completely planning on reading it all over again! Thank you for such a brilliant story,
Fabsx
Fabulous story! I adore how you developed you characters and the relationship between Harry and Severus. I can't wait until you start year 2, so please don't keep me waiting too long!

Wow. Ussually a fanfiction has an amazing plot and okay writing - or the other way round. WOW!!!!! You have both working so well! I am hooked. I think this is the best Snape and Harry I've ever read - you've got them down to a tee. I love it.
