Oof, this is a rough start for Harry. I like that some of his housemates are being decent though. Great story!
Snape holds so many misconceptions and preconceived notions! I’m looking forward to seeing him disabused of those.
I’ve always enjoyed this short, but sweet, start to your story!
Beautiful. All rounded up and tied up and wrapped in a neat little bow. I look forward to reading a sequel if and when you get it up. Id really be interested in seeing some Snape-Dursley interactions and definitely more Harry-Snape. I'm 100% all for the eventual Dad-slip and to cover whether they stay at Hogearts the rest of the summer or travel or live at Spinner's End. And of course, let us not forget 2nd year and thr inevitable Heir of Slytherin tripe. I feel like everyone will take it way harsher if Harry's already in Slytherin. Anyway, see you later. Until the next read through.
You know what would suck, is if the Bloody Baron comes back some days later and Harry had died. Talk about yur guilty conscience. Although, if I were Harry, I'd just come back as a ghost and be the Baron's annoying little ghost child for eternity
The Bloody Baron just up and decides to scare the everloving shit outta Harry. Thanks, some friend.
Oh! That was fluffy! That was so fluffy! "ITC'S SO FLUFFY I'M GONNA DIE!!"
I feel like I must have said this last time I read it, but I had something similar happen to me. The person never touched me, or threatened or anything, he just asked. He was someone who should not have, not a friend or anything, but family (I have a lot of it). Then, later, another family member did something inappropriate, not super obvious or particularly threatening, but it was not okay. And I am still super uncomfortable around anyone I'm not absolutely 100% certain about. I know, really, all it takes is one little incident and your sense of security vanishes. I think that when people threaten or make inappropriate innuendos aren't any less victims than victims of rape, because the mental repurcussion are terrible. And nobody should be ignored when this happens, I'm glad I had an amazing support system when it did.
Wow, jharad17, such a perfectly placed obstacle to completely avoid eliminating the possibility of that little sub-plot. I love when, even reading something for the first time, you just watch as the author places a freaking mountain in front of an obstacle, easily solved by one person, but not by the other; just like 'Here competent person, but look at this. Shiny. Dastardly. Forget about this other thing over here that just really needs to happen'. Cause, you know, plot and like character development.
