Wow!!! An intelligent, thoughtful and smart Harry, making friends and gathering guardians.....and then you leave us with the cliffie of them going to the Dursley's??? I hope it is only so Snape can kick their butts!!! Of course, your kind/wimpy Harry (let's face it-most people make him kind!!!) will not let anything happen. It would be cool if Dumbledore, McGonagal and Pomfrey were waiting there as well. It would give us a well rounded view of how well they can torture fools and serve to reassure Harry just how loved he deserves to be.
What a great chapter! I'm glad McGonagall reassured Harry that it wasn't his fault Gryffindor lost the Cup. As she said, it really depended on how all the players did in all the games, so Harry is no more or less to blame than anyone.
It's fun to see Harry and Severus having a good time brewing potions together, and I loved it when Severus offered to be Harry's guardian. It's sad, though, that Harry still sees himself as a burden. I guess all those years with the Dursleys left him scarred emotionally, too. Hopefully, Severus will be able to help him with that, too.
I'm worried about Harry's health---he just doesn't seem able to get perfectly well. But hopefully, in time, with good care, his constitution will become stronger.
And what a cliffhanger! I know Severus isn't really going to leave Harry with the Dursleys, he's gone to such lengths to reassure him, but Harry must be really scared, poor kid.
Looking forward to more!
