Reviews For Emerald Eyes
Oh what a blow the visit to Dumbledore proved to be for Harry! No rescue will be coming from that quarter. And he has certainly allowed his friends to believe a far different version of things than what is actually going on. While he may be nervous about what Snape would do if he were to catch him, Harry is still Harry! LOL! Wonderful chapter hon! Tracy
It`s so funny for me to see Snape taking the attemp to take care of someone, he could be so awkward at times... I love it =) Keep writing Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Yeah, when I was writing I thought....huh...this would be the first time Harry speaks to Dumbledore in his office. So naturally, Harry would feel a bit awkward...I think, anyway.
Anyway, I loved the chapter (as usual). I loved how Harry was so full of bravado on his way to Dumbledore's office only to have it peter out once he was there. How many times that same thing has happened to me in my life!!! And the poor boy's emotions are so jumbled. First, it's righteous anger at the fact that Snape has the right to punish him in such a personal way, quickly followed by confusion and hope? that the man cares enough to give him a sweater and potions when he is sick. Definitely a mixed message to someone who has been raised by the Dursleys. The boy is simply not used to the idea that an adult cares enough about him to take the time to actually care for him. Loved the interaction between Harry and Snape. Harry definitely has to keep on his toes around that man. And yet, Snape surprises him again by giving him another potion. I think my favorite part of this chapter is when Snape asks "What are you up to, Potter?" I bet it drives him crazy to know that Harry's plotting never ceases. Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter. And congrats on the nomination. You truly deserve it. Take care..... Author's Response: Yes, I lost all of the reviews for chapter 7 :( But I appreciate you taking the time to write another one--an excellent one at that! I love the fact that you get exactly what I'm trying to convey in my story, especially with Harry and his jumbled emotions. Although I know he's supposed to be brave, I'm always surprised at how stoic he is in the books--especially years one and two. I enjoyed writing that part from Snape's perspective. He's quite intuitive. Thanks again for reviewing (again...lol). I appreciate it :)
Good chapter, as usual. I think I say this every time, but I simiply love your Harry and how well you write him. I tend to avoid Harry-point-of-view in my story, because I can't seem to write him properly. Your's is awesome of course. I liked the conversation with Dumbldore though I'm incredibly exhausted right now and can't remember why. But it was good. Anyway, great chapter and please update soon. Author's Response: lol...sorry about your exhaustion. Thanks for reviewing again! I'm not really sure where I get my inspiration for writing Harry. Sometimes I base it off of myself as a teenager (I know I'm a girl, but still...). And again, I just try to make it realistic. Thanks again for sticking with the story :)
Author's Response: Thanks! Can't wait to read yours, by the way ;)
