Reviews For Emerald Eyes
Author's Response: Thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying the story. The Snape/Harry interaction is fun to write ;)
This was my favorite part: “Do not disappoint me, Potter.” Harry could only stare. No one had ever said anything like that to him in his entire life. The boy shook his head, “No, I won’t.” And somehow, Harry knew he meant it. Love it! So sweet! I'll be looking for the next chapter, I was so happy when I saw you had updated. Can't wait! -Elise Author's Response: Oh, I'm so glad you liked that line! I meant for it to carry a lot of weight, and it seems like for you, it did. So that's awesome :) Thank you so much for reading and reviewing.
Author's Response: Thanks! When I reread a new chapter, I always have to pay attention to Snape's snarkiness and make sure that he's in character. So I tweak a little here and there. And so far it seems to be working all right. I really appreciate your feedback in regard to Snape and Harry :)
Author's Response: I think that Severus could have seen Lily in Harry rather than James--he just never wanted to see it that way in the series, unfortunately. *sigh* I realized that Harry couldn't get away so easily without an interrogation, but I wanted to make it very subtle. Of course, Harry wouldn't really understand the odd questions, but we know that Snape is far from done with the situation ;) Thank you very much for the kind review. I should have a new chapter up soon!
keep up the great work! sincerly, Beth Author's Response: Dear, dear Beth...I would NEVER abandon this story. It killed me to wait longer than usual to post...(My sisters get mad at me when I shut myself up in my room and write...lol...but oh, well). Also, our internet has to be reconnected since we just moved, and I couldn't stand not replying to reviews, so here I sit at Starbucks on a Sunday morning :) Not all of the scenes from the book will be in my story. We're dealing with the same situation but in a different way. Thank you so much for reading and reviwing! I really appreciate it.
Now, he checked Harry's wrist. Was that for cutting or just bruises? Author's Response: Thank you! And actually, he was checking Harry's hands for potion damage since Harry had been working with so many expired onces. I believe the line in the chapter was "checked for potion-irritation". I often miss things in stories as well and things tend to make more sense after a second read-through...so I understand ;) And just so you know, there will not be any selfharm!Harry in this story. Thanks again for reading and reviewing :)
Author's Response: lol...Snapetastic... I love it. Thanks for reading and reviewing! I'm so glad you're still enjoying the story. So....Gambler's Son...updating anytime soon?...*nudges you*
The dialog between he and Harry was very well done and great fun to read. And he gave Harry a present! Awwww! Can't wait to see where the story goes from here. Author's Response: Well, good, I was hoping he was in character in this chapter ;) Each time I write a new chapter, I have to go back and read the previous one to make sure that I am sustaining the tone from chapter to chapter. I seem to tweak a lot as I write, as well as after I'm finished, but I suppose that's a good thing. I'm glad you enjoyed the dialogue. I love writing it. Thanks so much for reading and reviewing!
Author's Response: Thank you! I quite enjoy writing it :) Thanks for reading and reviewing!
I liked how everything played out here. I guess it was just a little too intense for Snape to be so sudden with seriousness at Harry's exclimation of "it's got pictures!" But, that also could be explained by his demeanor, Snape is just cautious...being a double-agent and all kinda does that to you. So, maybe I was just as freaked as Harry, which is good! I do love how Snape is able to interrigate Harry without making it excruciatingly painfull for either of them. It always seems right for Harry to open up to Snape and when he does he feels better about it, knowing that someone knows. At least he's now got Severus looking out for him. Hmmm...really interested in that book, though. I wonder if it's going to show up again somewhere... Well, I'm certainly looking forward to Ron's disgusted (and hilarious at that) exclimations about his detention. And wonder how Harry's going to take the barage of questions that are sure to come. OOh! And CHESS!! YAY! Happy Weekend! Author's Response: First of all, thank you for leaving me such a wonderful review! I really enjoyed reading it. :) I meant for the Snape-freaks-out moment to be a bit of a shocker. So that is a good thing that you felt tha that way! lol. There will be some more trio-interaction, as well as questions--well at least from Hermione. Thanks again; I hope you had a good weekend! |
