Yes, I made the questioning about Harry's clothes quite mild on purpose.  But the whole ordeal will not be left alone in the future.  I'm glad you liked Snape in this chapter.  I have always thought he was extremely intense, and so I thought that his little freak-out moment over the book would be just right.
