Reviews For Emerald Eyes
Oh girl, this was just wonderful! The interaction between Harry and Snape could not have been any better! I have to say that you've gotten me so caught up in this story I was damn near as relieved as Harry was when he finally told Snape about hearing the voice! You are golden! Tracy
By the time Snape caught Harry, that boy was full to the point of overflowing with pent up emotional stress! Although he may not think so at the time, I'd say that being caught out and punished by Snape just might be the best thing that has happened to him all week. He has REALLY needed some way of letting out all that he has been carrying around with him. Now if he can begin to confide in Snape, he'll be that much more unburdened! Love this story hon! Tracy
Talk about having a rough day! However, Harry's pride certainly isn't doing him any favores at the moment either. As badly as Harry needs to unload some of the burden he is carrying, I wonder if he even knows how to go about doing that. Another brilliant chapter hon! Tracy
Oh what a blow the visit to Dumbledore proved to be for Harry! No rescue will be coming from that quarter. And he has certainly allowed his friends to believe a far different version of things than what is actually going on. While he may be nervous about what Snape would do if he were to catch him, Harry is still Harry! LOL! Wonderful chapter hon! Tracy
It's great. It's refreshing, and you're building it up at he nice pace. Also fun to see Harry in 2nd year once more. ^^ (ok, and I love the fact that for once Draco doesn't make an appearence) Hope you'll update soon! Author's Response: Thank you! It's very flattering to hear about readers who read my story in one sitting :) I used to be a Draco fan, but not anymore. In this story, there will be little, if any, Draco/Severus interaction. Harry/Severus is just more intriguing to write--there's more depth to their relationship. I hope to have a new chapter up early this week!
Harry's clothes made me laugh. He was so worried about them, trying to pin them up and get them right, and had he let Snape help him right off it wouldn't have been such a big deal. I liked that Snape realized how ridiculous Harry was acting and didn't swat him for yelling and carrying on. I look forward to reading more. I want to know where they plan to go from here and what will happen with the Heir of Slytherin. Keep writing. Author's Response: Hi! Thanks so much for taking the time out to read and review my stories! I know you're busy...I appreciate your wonderful, thorough reviews :) I always thought that Ron and Harry didn't fight enough in canon... I'm glad you enjoyed that part. The oversized-clothes scene was probably my favorite to write so far. I should have a new chapter up soon! (How about you? lol) Thanks again!!
Author's Response: Thank you! Mixed emotions of sympathy and humor was exactly what I was going for ;)
I'm glad Harry stood up for himself with Ron. It's so like Ron to think only about himself, isn't it? Harry, despite the trouble he found himself in, was really worried for Ron. Ron was too upset about getting caught that he didn't stop to think about what might have happened to Harry. Typical of both of them. I'm sure that even though the Chamber isn't on their minds right now that it will be soon. And I'm sure that despite Snape's warning Harry will still get involved when he shouldn't. What else is our hero to do? Anyway, I loved the detention scene and can't wait to see how the rest of it goes. Take care and update soon if you can. BTW, sorry for the rambling review.... Thanks! Author's Response: Thank you so much for your compliments and wonderful review :) You always say the nicest things, and I really appreciate it! I'm really glad you like my story so much. After reading DH, I kind of gained a new perspective about Ron, so I decided to incorporate that a bit in this chapter. The scene was pretty fun to write, though. I thought he needed a good shove. lol. Thanks again for reading and reviewing...and don't worry, you're not rambling ;)
Hermione is very observant. I wonder how long she will last before she worms Harry's story out of him. She did seem to know to back off when Ron arrived. Poor Harry and the safety pin. when he stuck it in his trousers I knew it would likely pop open at the most inopportune moment! Nice that Snape was decent about it. So much information in the last bit of the chapter. Will Snape follow up his observations? We know he noticed much; his own experience and that of Head of Slytherin should alert him to a few things. It is good that he seems to be having his personal prejudices challenged. I know I've said it, but I do love your story. Great plot development, fabulous dialogue - your characters jump off the page at me. Write more, soon, please! Quinn Author's Response: Thanks so much for the wonderful review! Reading your reviews always makes me smile. The saftey pin scene is probably one of my favorites, to be honest. And you're right...Snape did notice a lot, and as always, there will be a follow-up :) When has Sev ever just let anything go? lol. Again, thank you for being such a faithful reader!
Author's Response: The lack of questions was deliberate. And you're right...Snape does know what he's doing :) Thanks so much for the review! |
