Reviews For Emerald Eyes
Author's Response: That was my favorite part to write...mainly because that's how I act when I can't sleep on nights when I'm anticipating something. It's funny how we kind of all do the same things. lol. Thanks for reviewing again! By the way, your update just made my day!
Author's Response: Thanks so much for reading and reviewing! And congrats on your featured story :) The Ron and Hermione conversation will appear in chapter 7. I guess I'm trying this approach with Harry where he actually attempts to do the right thing/be accountable. Of course, he's twelve, so even though he tries...well, what can I say...he's Harry. lol. Thanks again for the great review!
Poor Snape probably tired of grading all those papers and coming in to see Harry sleeping instead of writing... Though he is to strict with all those detentions! Author's Response: Yeah, he is strict, but at least he didn't have Harry expelled for what he did. Thanks for the review!
Author's Response: Thanks for the review! Yes, poor Harry, indeed...he's not used to having anyone care about him when he's sick. So glad you're enjoying the story :)
I love the way you write Harry's thoughts- I can only imagine the fall out if Harry *were* to give Snape the finger! This detention will have given Harry much more to think about, especially now that he has actually experienced some kindness from Snape. Poor wee thing, will he be able to associate this kindness with the type of care most children would unconsciously expect from an adult? Wrote more, soon! Love it! Mamaduck Author's Response: Hi! Thanks for reading and reviewing again :) I'm so glad you're enjoying the story. Yeah, if Harry actually said what he thought, he'd learn pretty quickly about Snape's intolerance...lol. I believe he's smart enough to bite his tongue, though, at least for now... However, it's really fun writing Harry's thoughts. Harry will eventually see the light about Snape, but like any twelve year old who is suddenly told what to do, of course Harry wouldn't see Snape's kindness as anything other than annoying. Kids don't always appreciate the little things, but Harry will realize eventually. Thanks again for your continued support! Your reviews are great :)
Will Harry be better by tomorrow's detention or will he be to sick to move when he wakes up in the morning? I can see Snape being concerned/annoyed when he doesn't see him the whole day then finding out he's in the Hospital Wing. Good chapter, as always, and please update again soon. Author's Response: Yes, you truly did; however, I had started the chapter on Saturday night and just decided to go ahead and finish it last night and post it :) A lot of Harry's "under the weather" status was due to his lack of sleep. It kind of triggered it. I think Harry's smart enough to do what he's told and go to bed ;) Thanks for the review!
I can't wait for Harry's confrontation with Albus! Dumbledore seems to understand Snape's motives are based on concern for Harry's well-being. . .but I doubt he'll be able to convince Harry of this. Can't wait to see how ALbus handles this! Looking forward to more!!! Author's Response: I love it when people understand exactly what I try to get across in my writing. Thanks so much for being awesome and doing just that :) You're right: no one has ever cared if Harry was sick or not, and that is why he really didn't know how to react. He's already feeling a bit smothered, so he does what he always does and plans to run to Dumbledore. And of course, Snape uses the "no sleeping in detention" thing to stray from the fact that Harry just needs to get to bed on time because, well, he's twelve. Thanks so much for your great review! I love reading what you have to say. I'll have a new chapter out as soon as I can!
Author's Response: Well...several things...as much truth as he can without spilling it all :)
Author's Response: Have I really forgotten something? And yes, Snape's concern was subtle. Hopefully it doesn't overshadow the man's Snapeness. We wouldn't want that. Thanks for reviewing! I'll write more soon :)
Again, I loved the chapter. You have such a way of describing the scenery and the actions/body language of the characters that it truly is like watching a movie. And Harry's internal monologue is so perfect. Good thing he's learned to keep his comments to himself. I have to admit that the picture I had in my mind of Harry sleeping with his head down on the desk was adorable. Definitely filled the awww! quotient for the chapter. Can't wait to see what Harry has to say to Dumbledore. I hope this review encourages you to update soon, but I'll take the next chapter whenever I can get it. Thanks..... Author's Response: Wow, thanks for the great review! Well, see, I began typing last night and kind of got on a role. lol. I'm really glad you enjoyed this chapter. Harry's thoughts are fun to write. I try not to mess around in Snape's head too much...it frightens me a bit (ha!). I also figure that the threat of punishment is enough to keep Harry in line, at least for few days anyway. I don't think that he deliberatly gets himself into trouble...it's just that he doesn't think before he does things, and that's what will be addressed mostly in the next several chapters. And as for the "cuteness" factor, I really tried not to make anyone sick up during that scene, but come on, he's only twelve. Thanks again for reading! I'll try to have a new chapter up as soon as I can, which more than likely will be by the end of the week :) |
