Author's Response: Oops....sorry I never responded to your review :-( The sequel will be up within the week! Thanks so much for reviewing, RhiannanT!
I love this story so much. So very, very much. I just re-read it (for oh, the 3rd time) and I must beg for a sequel. Well done! Author's Response: Thanks, lyra :-) It means a lot that you've taken such interest in my story. I love YOUR work, so it's a huge compliment. I plan on beginning a sequel over Christmas break.
Author's Response: Thank you! No, there isn't a second part to this story; however, I may decide to write a sequel in the future ;-) I'm glad you enjoyed the story, and I appreciate your review letting me know that you did.
-K Author's Response: Oh, lord, sorry it took me so long to respond! I read your review a while ago and meant to write you back but was in the midst of beta'ing a story. What can I say--multitasking isn't my thing ;) But I'm so glad you enjoyed the story! I was a bit wary of how readers would respond to the ending, so knowing that you liked it is really relieving...and encouraging...and just makes me grin. Thanks for sticking through this story 'til the end and another thanks for letting me know what you thought, Kirinin!
Please write a sequel. I need it - your updates were always a ray of sunshine in my cloud-covered life. I miss getting the update emails and rushing to read what you have written. But if you need a break or want to work on something else for a while, I completely understand. I've enjoyed Harry being small in this story, but I would also like to see their relationship as he gets older. It's much easier to move and hush a boy of twelve - it's harder with a sixteen-year-old. Just some food for thought - I know you'll make the right decision. I've enjoyed the ride the whole way. Author's Response: The second I posted the final chapter, I thought...Oh, Lord, here we go. I knew that there would be a few people who complained about Snape not taking Harry in for the summer. But I had planned it like that for a long time, and I promised myself I would stick with it. Of course, now I've left an open door for a sequel, and I'm seriously thinking of writing one once I finish Starting From Scratch. But I have to say--the fact that you found my ending so satisfying just makes me smile. In fact, I'm still smiling right now. lol. I'm so flattered that you've enjoyed my story (and I know I've said that too many times to count). But it's the truth. I agree that it would be interesting to continue this story through years until Harry is older. It would be a struggle to keep the plotline original since Snape/Harry mentoring stories taking place post OotP are so much more common than li'l Harry stories, but it's a challenge I may decide to tackle. Thanks for all of your encouragement, Perry. I really appreciate it :) |
