Reviews For Emerald Eyes
Please for a sequel????? I'll read it all and be very, very happy:) You know you want to (flings an Imperius--just a tiny one:) Author's Response: LOL. If Severus were to ever call Harry by some sort of moniker, I figured that 'child' would be as soft as he'd go. He slipped in a few 'Harrys' now and then, but I think that would definitely be difficult for Snape. I'll keep working on ideas for a sequel ;) I'm glad to hear that you'd be interested in one! Thank you very much for the review!
Now on to the review for the story! lol I just have to say that I absolutely love your interaction between Severus and Harry in this *entire* story, especially the facts that Harry isn't a complete angel and that Severus didn't completely fall in love with the little munchkin the first time he saw him. Even at the end (love the last line by the way XD), he still only grudgingly admits, even to himself, that he likes the boy. I'm just so... I dunno, overwhelmed and kinda sad that this is over, but I loved how you ended it. I'm definitely looking forward to anything else you plan on writing, as well! Your faithful reader, ~Myrrdin Author's Response: The thing about Severus is that he may be completely taken with little Harry, but he'll never admit it. I think that canon Snape would have a difficult time with that--and that's mainly why the mentor relationship in this story has progressed so slowly. And I'm rather overwhelmed too! LOL. It's sad ending a story--relieving, but definitely sad. I've got another one I'm working on, but once I'm finished with that one, who knows what I'll do.... ;) I've got some ideas for a sequel (nothing definite), but I'm kind of nervous at the thought of writing a continuation. Sometimes they're not always the best. I'm really pleased that you enjoyed the ending. It was one of those endings that could suffice but also left room for possibilities. Well, faithful reader, I must say that I've appreciated the feedback you've given me throughout the story. Thanks so much for hanging on through all thirty-two chapters :)
Author's Response: Well, I've been warning readers about the end nearing for like 6-8 chapters now, because I knew that if I waited any longer it would seem abrupt since the story took place up until Christmas. I probably could have written another 30 chapters about the second half of the year, but I came up with the epilogue to show that things were basically stagnant during that time. I'm glad you were able to get a sense of finality as you read the epilogue, however :) Thanks so much for reading!
Author's Response: I've got ideas, and I'll keep working on them :) Thanks for reading the story, Syllva!
Author's Response: Hi, Caroline! It's so great to hear that you're following both of my stories :) There are many readers who usually favor one mentoring relationship over the other... lol. I suppose I left the story with somewhat of a loose end in case I decide to write a sequel, but I really wanted to tie it up in case I don't. I'm glad you're willing to accept either decision :) I do love writing and I try to update as often as possible, but when real life gets in the way, it's difficult. Thanks for understanding and for leaving me such a wonderful review!
Well, my question on if Dumbledore was the one to destroy the diary was answered (I figured as much). Snape and Dumbledore's conversation was certainly interesting, and concerning. I had to smirk though near the end where Dumbledore mentioned having Lockhart dispose of the basilisk, ha! I'd love to see the git's face! Poor Harry, sulking in the infirmary. It was nice of Snape to get him out of there, and also to give him that book. Harry definitely appreciated the gift, it was a sweet moment. That was a very thoughtful and good idea to allow Harry to keep the portkey for access to Hogwarts, should he need it. I definitely feel happier knowing Harry has a means of escaping. Loved the end! Harry is such a cute kid! It always makes me smile when he grins like that. Snape seems so exasperated, hehe. I'm REALLY happy to hear you're thinking on making a sequel! I'd love to read it and will be keeping an eye out for one :). Author's Response: I tell you, it's awesome to hear that I answered your question with this chapter. That's something that I wanted to really do--keep everyone from falling into the hole of confusion. LOL. Oh, goodness, thanks so much for all of your reviews, Beth :) You've stuck with this story for so long, and I love ya for it!
Thank you for your story Author's Response: Thank you for recognizing that Snape has affected Harry in a way that will carry with him through the summer. :) In keeping this story canon-compliant, I felt that Snape would still respect Dumbledore's decision to keep Harry safe within the wards. Of course, if I write a sequel, things may very well change; however, I wanted this story to have a satisfying ending in case it ended up being a stand-alone story. I appreciate all of your reviews you've submitted for Emerald Eyes :) Thanks for reading my story, Keats!
Keep writing! (^_^)/ BEM Author's Response: I'm actually really glad to hear that you think it's all right as it is. Of course, I may decide to do a sequel, but if I can't get to it, I don't want to disappoint, you know? Here's a hug for the reassurance. *squeeze* LOL. Thanks for reading my story, BEM!
You did an awesome job! Author's Response: Thanks, Kathy! I've been neglecting my reading and reviewing duties and am just now getting back on track. Your story is queued up on my list ;) Congratulations on finishing your sequel, crazy-typin' woman! LOL.
Arh what am i going to do now, no more staring at my computer screen willing there to be updates, no more brilliant chapters to digest but the conciliary hint at a 'sequel' brightens my mood slightly. I hope you write more, it would be the proverbial icing on the cake, ohh the possibilities are endless, you could have any flavour that you want, pumpkin, gherkin...Maybe not. I hope you do continue to write and bring your - for they are yours now- characters back to life for us. Well congratulations again on a job done well, your Harry and Snape are wonderful, here's to their future(?- well i had to try!). :))) Cecilia Author's Response: Ah, Cecilia, you're quite the flatterer, I must say ;) Thank you for reviewing so many of my latest chapters of EE. It's been wonderful reading your thoughts, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it the whole way through. What I plan to do is finish my Sirius/Harry story over at ff.net, and then I'll possibly think about writing a sequel. I need to get a good plot worked out, and if I do, I'll be all set. ObsidianEmbrace and I are also going to try and co-author a story...if we can figure out how to do it...lol...but I'm used to writing two stories at once, so that project won't push EE2 out of the way--if there *is* such a thing... *wink* I appreciate your enthusiasm for this story. I miss little Harry already. *sniff* |
