I’m glad that Harry has the confidence to handle himself, but am also relieved that Snape showed up. I love their interactions and look forward to their first real “face to real face”!
I really enjoyed the brief interaction between Harry and Snape in the alley. I hope Connor doesn’t drive a wedge between Harry and his mum.

I like these wonderfully lengthy chapters. I’m starting to really feel immersed in the details of Harry’s new life. I only hope it stays this calm and idyllic. I liked your choice of career for Catherine - it fits nicely with your goals of giving her a flexible schedule, and her love of new languages will hopefully leave her open minded enough when Harry’s magical background emerges!
Terrific chapter! I liked the grandparents and agree that a military background is interesting — and potentially helpful in the event that Harry still has enemies in the wizarding world.
